Re: Really scary ghosts

Coming Full Circle by Pagan Publishing for Call of Cthulhu. There's two ghost stores in it and a bonus one on vampires (whihc is pretty good in a non-gothic kind of way) and one about a satanic witch coven (based on a old hammer film) and no tentacleyness in sight. The ghost stories are pretty good ...

Re: Drawing a Map

Jester - that looks epic in Black and White! Seriously awesome work! 8) @strahdsbuddy - Well to get contours there are several options. One is to use a 3d render program to create the 3d landmass then import it into photoshop for colouring. This can be done to great effect http://ghmaps.net/ but its...

Re: Drawing a Map

Yep groups is the way to go, you can stuff all the text into a group, copy the group and bobs your uncle. One copied you can also select multiple layers using shift-click or ctrl-click. On the stroke one way of quickly amending multiple text layers is to set one text layer to the blending options yo...

Re: Ravenloft System Pros/Cons

Its a bit tangential but WW relaeased Monte Cooks WoD which essentially converts nWoD (vampires, wraiths, werewolves etc) to D20. It doesn't tell you how the conversion is done but it shows a D20 version of nWoD, so I'm sure it can't be that difficult to emulate in your own homebrew. And as its WW i...

Re: Drawing a Map

I've already used my free trial years ago. :( It'll probabley work again now they've upgraded to CS5... Or if it doesn't I'd have a go with adobe customer services and say you want to evaluate the new edition and could they nicely unlock your IP address again... :) Get Gimping, you won't regret it!

Re: Drawing a Map

Lostboy: I don't have photoshop, it costs a fortune. True Photoshop is expensive and unless you'll use it a lot or for other things its probably not worth it. I do design and photography alot for my work so I can justify the expense, but appreciate its a big whack of money. However there are severa...

Re: sri raji information

I made a little collection of Indian themed material for a campaign I planned to write but never did more than an outline for. Don't know how much of this might help but worthwhile taking a look at: Pulp Villain - Thuggee http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/product_info.php?products_id=19388&it=1 The ...

Re: Drawing a Map

I am wondering if someone could draw a map of sri raji, and the three cities that are within it for the upcoming sri raji gazetter? -herkles Like this one? Its pretty simple, in fact just an exercise in making the black box map look a little more antiquey... http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff280...

Re: Which Borders do You Close?

I always thought an interesting way to play the more fantastical and sfx border closures was to make them very subtle and personal experiences for the players, sowing seeds of doubt in their minds that it was real or not. Example - Hazlan. Rather than a giant wall of fire, perhaps slip a note to som...

Re: Drawing a Map

Looking good Jester. I do agree you need more mountains or something to make the height more obvious in places. I'd also suggest muting the colours a little. Add some more yellow into the base green for grassland, and tone the sea more grey blue than royal blue. Another neat little tip on Photoshop ...
