Fish Appreciation

Nice work on the forum. I had an idea of my own come to me today- posting a news article here about the FoS devoting themselves to Spelljammer. The redubbed Fraternity of Spaaaaace ! would include members like the felt golem Flesho, who moved the fingers of a dismembered hand like a mouth as he talk...

Re: Taken... by the mists

The Nameless Priests of Zard seem like a deliberate way to mess with some kind of ultimate DnD encyclopedia, by forcing it to label itself as being from "(AAA, Brother) to (ZZZ, Brother)."

Re: Van Richten's guide to Eldritch horror.

Definitely. I also would hazard a guess that the cultists involved have the belief that they will be rewarded by the Cosmic forces or at the least, spared. I don't think that gets much attention in Lovecraft's work, but they are trying to open those doors for power. Not just for annihilation. "...

Re: Aftermath of a Strahd Encounter

Given that Strahd is aware that the rest of the group want to raise this character from the dead, perhaps he could simply leave their personalized invitation at the spot where he stole the body... with the RSVP box already checked off.

Re: Building a BIG Project

Although this is mostly irreconcilable with working in the writers room, I would also be interested in being a player or guest player in the campaign. To be clear, I would be happy to forgo being a player if it meant I could contribute as a writer. However, that Discord link does not seem to work.

Re: Building a BIG Project

I am very excited by the opportunity to be part of the "writers room" for said project. Could you consider me for such a role? I believe I possess the skills and talents necessary for the long-term yet mutable plotting relevant to such a game. I have become increasingly familiar with class...

Re: I'Cath Gazeteer

I actually had a fondness for the extreme simplicity of I'Cath, with its limited population and points of interaction. Its section in Islands of Terror evoked a certain quote in my mind, about how the description was "absurdly specific... practically an instruction manual on destroying" th...

Re: Comic Book Vampires

Ooh, great! I can help here!

Two nice examples I stumbled upon a while back are Varnae and Varnay, the first great vampire from an antediluvian age and a Cromwell-era moper who managed to twice immolate himself in a volcano respectively.

Re: New to Ravenloft? Or new to our forum? introduce yoursel

Hello, I hope you are all doing very well. I'm new to the forum, but I've been a big fan of the associated QtR netbooks for several years. I've never gotten to play DnD, but I've enjoyed sourcebooks and regular books (although I never realized the books in question, a smattering of Krynn-based ones,...

Re: Domains and movies

Well, war films would obviously be relevant to Falkovnia. And if there are any films about the Medici, or perhaps the Renaissance, they'd fit Borca well. Movies based on Joan of Arc, such as The Messenger, or anything about a particularly nasty inquisition would work with Nidala. Jaws and 47 Meters ...
