Re: What would you want in an official 5e Ravenloft setting?

I'm pretty sure the younger generations can handle horror just fine. Just get rid of the bad stereotypes and voilà . I think I really would like to see something similar to the Sword Coast Adventurer's guide, with just enough of everything to get players going in terms of lore and game options. I do...

Apologies.
No worries, it happens! I just noticed the update and I'm quite happy with it - and just in time for the holidays too!

What version is this updated one? Latest in my library is the 88 page v1.3, though it says the file was updated 2020-11-08 11:49:52. As the new page count is listed as 104, I assume the update didn't make it through...
I'm in exactly the same situation.

Hi,
I'm not sure I spot the difference between the November update and the version I bought in September. What was added in the latest update?

Re: Jester's Maps: size and scale?

I purposely omitted the scale. Previous books put the scale of the Core at around 180 miles by 200 miles. At that size, the entire map would be 325 miles by 210 miles. Give or take. Or, put another way, Liffe, which is about an inch on my screen, would be around 20 miles East to West. However 180 mi...

On page 2, distance between Sturben is Mortigny is 20-25 milles. Use this to make your own scale.

Thanks! It looks like a very clear map!

Re: Jester's Maps: size and scale?

Depends on the map you are using :) Use the one in the inside cover of the Ravenloft Campaign Setting : suggested scale is 20-25 miles per inch. Calculate the distance between two points, and use the same on your maps. Joël I'm afraid I don't have the book you mention. I have the map from the Realm...

Jester's Maps: size and scale?

Hello,

I'm using Jester's map of the Core for my campaign at home and I'm trying to figure out the scale of it. Is there a way to figure it out?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Curse of Strahd Boxed Set

I already bought Curse of Strahd twice: first when I started running it, and a second time when I found the french translation (I find it's easier to run a module when you don't have to translate as you go). I keep telling myself I'm not buying it a third time, but I really wish to know about the up...

Re: New to Ravenloft? Or new to our forum? introduce yoursel

Tell us about some of the fun you'd had and horrible tortures you have inflicted on your hapless adventurers! Well, both of my play groups were mostly new to Ravenloft, and one of them was even completely new to roleplaying games, including my fiancee. Showing my friends a classic module and introd...

Re: New to Ravenloft? Or new to our forum? introduce yoursel

Hello! I'm certainly not new to Ravenloft, seeing as I'm still playing with my good ol' Black Box, but I am new to this forum! I used to browse the Fraternity of Shadows and Mordent Cartographic Society websites for information on Ravenloft. I actually only played D&D until the mid-nineties, but...
