Re: Net canon settlements
Of course I'm tracking those too. There is a net anon domain tab...which I may need to update. But specifically net-canon settlements in canon towns for the Core map I'm working on. I was looking through some of my stuff on DMsGuild today, there's in "Encounters in Ravenloft" (https://www...

But again, feel free to ask questions, I will answer as much as I can Very well. Question (and I am not trolling): Can you contact Mangrum to see if he is legally able and willing to release something about that adventure, similar to the Shadow of the Knife adventure the Kargatane released back in ...

Re: Lamordia: Inspirations, Legends, and Plothooks
As far as we can tell, if you go with the whole 'makes-a-model' theory for how the mists and domains work, then Lamordia seems to be a fairly accurate recreation of Mordenheims home country, with the changes only being Von Aubecker and the lack of history. That we don't know what setting (if any) h...

Re: Fiend's reality wrinkle and 5th edition lair effects
Interesting ideas! I look forward to hearing more about them when they're ready, though I must ask: what do you mean by Gwydion's aims? I really don't recall him having any specific goals from his canon write-ups, other than lording over the ellefolk that became the Shadow Fey, and then him wanting ...

Re: Origin of Vistani, Ezra, Hala?
For Hala, I found a pretty intersting possible inspiration for her: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ala_(demon) Apparently a female mythological creature of Bulgarian and Serbian culture, and was basically a mixture of the Greek Lamia and the Slavic Baba Yaga, known for its appatite and said to contr...

Re: Kartakass: Inspirations, Legends, and Plothooks
The effects of Bluetspur can be found in more than just the remaining mistways, but even in the environement. Deep in the woodlands shared between Forlorn, Hazlan, and Kartakass, in the heart of the Kartakann Rodskoven (Redwood) is a blighted and horrific woodland called by many names. The Rattensk...

Re: Kartakass: Inspirations, Legends, and Plothooks
Much like you, KingCorn, Kartakass has always been a favorite of mine. It's a great wilderness domain done right---you actually do care about the Kartakans and their rustic way of life, as opposed to having to deal with an adventuring party in Barovia getting dirty looks everywhere they go and ultim...

Re: What I would like to see in QtR#31
I would like to see more support and love for D&D next, but the old school Ravenloft. Expanded mechanics for fear/horror/madness from the Out of the Abyss rules, bringing the domains in the 5th edition with darklords etc "Translated" to D&D next etc. That would be nice, yeah. I op...

Re: Quoth the Raven #30 reaction thread.
Pharazia, Survey of a Sun-Scourged Land Of all of Ian Fordam's work, his take on Pharazia is the one I was not only looking forward to the most but also the most pleased with. For full disclosure's sake, I helped with part of the editing process and idea brainstorming, but really it was more in twe...

Re: Quoth the Raven #30 reaction thread.
Secrets of the Phantasmal Forest In this article Speedwagon offers a selection of more than two dozen places which might be found in the Phantasmal Forest of the Shadowlands. Each of these locations has some tie to Kateri Shadowborn, whether extrapolated from canon or a product of the author's own ...

Re: Quoth the Raven #30 reaction thread.
A few initial thoughts on this year's Quoth the Raven ! It is nowhere near in order... 1. The Conquista Gazetteer by Rock is a lovely continuation of his Wartorn Cluster work. I've kept up with it so far and though it's complex, that complexity is what really shows the amount of thought put into it....

I'm both astounded and flattered to have been referenced in an article this issue. =D You deserve the love, man! Your Ravenloft Reincarnated is something I really enjoy and look forward to when it gets updates, and I was appreciative that you liked my Phantasmal Forest ideas enough to contact me ab...

Re: Quoth the Raven #30 reaction thread.
Finally I had the time to read it thoroughtly, and I did enjoy what I have read. 2ed stats are not my cup of tea but Ian Work will be a base for me to work on when, soon or later I will have to write Pharazia, and G'henna for the Mistworld. My only complain with this two, @IanFordam, is that I grea...

Re: Questions & Thoughts on Avonleigh
:) I am a French contributor AND I've heard of Clark Ashton Smith's Averoigne stories. I've been planning on reading them for a while, but now it's at the top of my list! Especially since there's a city named "Touraine" in Averoigne, so I think that someone at TSR might've been interested...
