There's also Gondegal, the current leader of the group, detailed in the black box, Champions of the mists and Gaz II. But no, not a whole lot, sadly. The BoShadows framing fiction was a great flavor piece, though. highly recommended.

thanks for all the responses guys. Still haven't decided yet, as a bout of real life has intruded on my planning. I've still got a few weeks until next session, so we'll see. Once the forum's "Being Gustav Malvoni" idea made me laugh out loud. I don't think I'd use it. But it did give me a...

He's Elven, and he's Nosferatu. And Nosferatu is a form of vampire. But he's not an Elven Vampire. That's a specific strain of vampirism that only affects elves and is much different than a nosferatu. So all Elven Vampires are vampires and elves, but not all Vampires who are Elves are Elven Vampires...

Mordent also serves as a nice "blank slate" to put some of the "place this anywhere" adventures from CoTN and such. The Automatic Man, the min-kins, Lumina, Carnival, the unfamiliar, Undying Justice, Scaena, etc...

The Gears in Stangengrad

Gaz II mentioned in a tantalizingly brief paragraph something called "the Gears" in Stangengrad, Falkovnia. A huge warehouse full of mysterious machinery. No one knows who built it or why. Well, I made the foolish decision to let slip to my players that good old Gustav Malvoni, the mad clo...

I think you'll have trouble selling tickets to that one, what with the warning you'll have to put out: WARNING: viewing this spectacle may induce horror checks with DC > 30. Welcome back God Brain. Looking forward to your Bluetspur work. The question I'd most like to see answered is: What did this p...

I'm liking this a lot so far. (I always had trouble coming up with ideas for Richemulot.) But those are some very trusting PC's. "Come with me to a friendly were-rat den." "OK!" :)

Completely different. Darius ruled. Didn't mean to imply otherwise. As I said in the next sentence: "For a priest to never leave a church, that's fine. It's what they do. For a paladin, it's turning his back on his calling to actively fight the good fight." Sorry for not being clearer tha...

Perhaps I misinterpreted the hiding in a church idea. I wasn't thinking about a paladin who lives in a church in his downtime, or simply spends a lot of time in church. Both of those are completely in character. I was thinking about a paladin who never leaves the church for fear of being spotted by ...

Oh! It's simple: kill a random villager. Beautiful! Just the advice the darkly neutral Vistani would give. :) But for real advice, I agree with Charney. The "Attention" is why paladins are rare. They usual quit, fall from grace, or die in battle. Most attempts to hide should be ...

I made the foolish choice of ordering LotB and Dark Tales & Disturbing Legends at the same time from Amazon and selecting free shipping. (What can I say, I'm a cheap bastard.) Usually in a case like this amazon separates the shipments. (For example, I got my MotRD about a month ago, and the LotR...

Buffy vamps tend to be a bit more "alive" than D&D ones. They can get drunk, for example. That particular one was nuts, and taking some sort of meds for it. It was a neat scene, even if it's not directly applicapable to RL.

Faces behind the facades: Pics?

Seeing Wiccy's sig picture inspired me to start this thread, but I'm not sure where to put it. Other than Dion and now Wiccy, and MSD and few of the kargatane (Stu and John), I don't know what any of y'all look like. So, if anyone is willing to post pics, here's the place. I'll start. Unfortunately,...
