Re: Back in the saddle; Ravenloft 2E

Same here, I still love 2nd Ed, not much for the rules but for the amounts of material we got from it. I tried 3rd. but frankly after reading Champions of Darkness, I went back to the old 2nd Ed. and never looked back ever since. That's, uh, sort of like blowing off the career of John Wayne after s...

Welcome to the forums, your best source for all things Ravenloft. :D

Bleak House is really great and one of my favorites too, but my all time favorite is and always will be The Nightmare Lands. Oh those dreams.....

Re: I6 Ravenloft and House of Strahd

Not sure what you mean, but as said before these were changes to the story/plot in order to better fit the original adventure to the Campaign Stetting. Moreover in "House", you get the "revamped" monster and also the Original, so you can use the one you like the most. Nothing str...

Re: 4E Ravenloft--Back into the Crypt for Now

I reckon this is better than having a bad product and klill the entire line for good. On the other hand I was hoping for some new stuff this year.... :?

Re: What do you expect from 4E?

Wow!! already on the verge of another edition.... The only thing that I want out of this new ed. is good old background and overall fluff. This is, in my oppinion, the core of Ravenloft. Keep the timeline of events untouched, add to it and keep us players wondering what's next. Develop special char...

I'm all up for it. Developed domains could have been working on them, not only for warfare, but for science also. Demetlieu and its University can easily be thinking in building one. It may even expand to a primitive submarine. the consequences of this deliver most precious adventure hooks :D

Nice idea, however I don't see much connection between Guiseppe and Ivan's intentions. But since there is no cannon anymore I think this conncection can add a new twist to Ivan's life. His schemes could trully become global.

In my campaign, I have Odiare as a pocket domain, much like Scaena. It materializes in different domains and snatches unaware adults, lured by the children that live there.

THe Vistani are based on film portrayals of gypsies-now, in the Real World, the Rom migrated from India into Europe, originally as spies. Assassins would have all the right skills, so making a Vistani bloodline for assassins is not far afield, and the cultural roots of the Thuggee-well, it seems to...

I can't seem to remember any organization devoted to murder, I was under the impression that the Baal Ver'zi was an organization from Strah's Prime Material World, but I never heard they were actually active in Ravenloft, is there any official books I can find this information in? As for the Vistani...
