The Sorority of Shadows

Paridon 2 December 759 My dear Professor Kingsley, I hope this letter finds you well and your research progressing as you had hoped when last we spoke, despite the turmoil and unpleasantness of recent family events. Since our last correspondence I have had the very great pleasure of meeting a woman...

Cryptic Allegiances

Ah... yes. Your... expertise.

But your resources.

MY plan.

But my methods.

Done.

The thought of converting a soul into flesh that way is creepy. Imagine what happens when that body is killed. I don't think that statement was meant to be taken literally. If it was , then a corporeal person you pass through the halo (assuming they don't have the Hollow feat) won't become entirely...

Was it ever decided if PCs who survived the Manoir could gain a level for doing so...? I know somebody (Moral, maybe?) asked about that, but I don't recall seeing an "official" answer from the mods. Interesting question. If your character was below the given range (8th-11th level) then I ...

Quick question--has everyone sent a stat block in for this adventure? Many of you did so for the "Evening with the Fraternity", but we've picked up a few people since then. If you haven't made one, please do so and PM it to me. If you're wondering how many levels are appropriate, the game ...

Pretty exciting. Considering that they hold the rights to Ravenloft now, I guess it could be anything...

I don't think there would necessarily be any objection to that, but you should definitely ask the individual involved before you "borrow" the PC. I suppose the simplest thing would be to send someone to ask Anthony exactly how he got the plans in the first place...if anyone is in the mood ...

My changes to canon will take a long time to explain properly, but it's 6:30 AM and I can't sleep--so why not? Let's see... There are no demihumans who commonly or routinely interact with humans. Elves, dwarves, gnomes and halfings are humans with a dash of fey blood in their ancestry (calibans are ...

You could give it a garrote. Or a leather belt with studs on the inside, which leaves a strangulation mark similar to those of the choker's hands. The choker doesn't use it, but it occasionally shows it around as a way of explaining its way of killing people.

I'd have to agree with the posters who have mentioned the "Scary Stories..." illustrations. I have to say, I would not want to live in that man's mind. I'm sure he's a nice guy and all, but...yeesh. Only two books/stories have ever scared me badly enough to make me stop reading--"Drac...

I would say that Invidia is something like a bandit paradise. In the Middle Ages there were large stretches of forest which no-one in particular really controlled, and someone brave enough, or desperate enough, could just flee into the woods and evade capture forever. Eventually large bandit groups ...
