I only think that rping paladins is hard in RL because they are so much more susceptible to manipulation because of their predictable nature. If a paladin in RL doesn't fully investigate a situation before they do something, they could simply be acting as a pawn for a greater evil. Not to mention ...

Any successful paladin in RL I would hope could understand the benefits of subtlety. You are all thinking of rogues as theives or killers with no morals. This is not always the case and I can think of several examples of what a lawful good rogue might be: a loyal spy, a law-enforcement officer ...

There's plenty for evil characters to do. Hell, my players have been contending for power of Zeidenburgs Black Markets. Your players just have to get imaginative and do something.

Voldemort is most definately a lich. I just wonder if in Harry Potter's world there is necromancy to raise zombies and skeletons and crap.

hope your campaign goes well for you. I have my characters frightened of the mists and night already. I can't wait until they learn the hard way that it is better to know ones enemy before initiating battle than to attack blindly:)
