oh my god. You definately wrote a LOT here. I like most of it except for Azalin's motivations. Wow. Definately would make a good adventure.

I only think that rping paladins is hard in RL because they are so much more susceptible to manipulation because of their predictable nature. If a paladin in RL doesn't fully investigate a situation before they do something, they could simply be acting as a pawn for a greater evil. Not to mention th...

Any successful paladin in RL I would hope could understand the benefits of subtlety. You are all thinking of rogues as theives or killers with no morals. This is not always the case and I can think of several examples of what a lawful good rogue might be: a loyal spy, a law-enforcement officer perha...

I just had a thought; Ravenloft is the only setting where it would make sense for a paladin to multiclass with rogue. Carry on with the more intelligent discourse if you will:)

Paladins in RL know that they are doomed to meet an early death at the hands of evil because of what they are. Rather than flee, they choose to meet their fate head-on; to do as much good as possible for a world that finds them to be anathema. To go down fighting for what is good is the greatest ide...

Reality Wrinkles-What can a fiend do in one?

As the topic says, what can a fiend do in its reality wrinkle? How far can it alter what lies within it? Very general question, I know, but I have nothing to really go on I don't think.

There's plenty for evil characters to do. Hell, my players have been contending for power of Zeidenburgs Black Markets. Your players just have to get imaginative and do something.

Voldemort is most definately a lich. I just wonder if in Harry Potter's world there is necromancy to raise zombies and skeletons and crap.

hope your campaign goes well for you. I have my characters frightened of the mists and night already. I can't wait until they learn the hard way that it is better to know ones enemy before initiating battle than to attack blindly:)

Please correct me if my idea is totally wrong but I happen to think that Azalin is chasing the phantoms in his mind so to speak. If the Dark Powers can imprison a being such as Gwydion, weave together an entire land around 1 individuals evil, create life, rip land from the prime material etc. how in...

Wow, you've just fleshed out a story arch for my campaign. Thanks Rotipher. I can have the PCs travelling to different places and consulting different healers, scientists and mystics to help him out. Gradually their assignments can darken with the sources consulted and items sought of a more questio...

You know, that's a good idea. They do exist in RL, but I feel they are even more below the radar than they might otherwise be. But yes, my goal is to make the PC's sympathetic towards him. When I do reveal what the PC's have (will) be helping him to do, I want them to understand why and possibly rea...
