Back to the mists?

Hi all. It's been a long time... I can barely remember the last time I was around these parts. Maybe 10 years ago? But I've been feeling the pull again. I've been feeling the desire to play Gothic games again, and to come back to Ravenloft again. I've even restarted reading Gothic-themed books ( jus...

Re: Jacqueline Montarri's life style

Something in this thread reminds of high society ladies who never wear the same dress twice in public. Although it's not as easy to acquired heads as it is to acquire dresses, of course.
That said, could she have a network of suppliers bringing in heads from distant lands?

Re: Return from long exile

D&D is currently in 5th ed. Ravenloft essentially died when TSR died. Not an Arthaus fan? Some would say Ravenloft didn't truly live (as a cohesive setting) until TSR died. anyway, welcome back Ail ! As mentioned, D&D is on edition #5, and the only "official" Ravenloft product pro...

Return from long exile

Hello everyone, I have been away from these forums for a long time, a couple of years at least, I don't remember. But I've been feeling some yearning for Ravenloft and its places. For some surprising reason, I've been missing Souragne, Forlorn, the Vistani and generally reading about this. Something...

Re: nope

I've been trying to do a live group on rolz.org, but it's such a slow go that I find myself struggling trying to justify the time investment for as little we actually seem to accomplish. Some people have suggested Roll20, but I have no mic or camera and not sure if it would translate as well. I was...

Re: The Halls of Medeia - OOC

Hi Alastor, It's not your fault. And in any case, I keep my notes, and we are in the spot where I would finish chapter 1 and begin chapter 2. So it is always possible to restart if there is interest. But for now I think it will stay dormant for a while. Thank you for participating, it was good havin...

Re: The Halls of Medeia - OOC

Hi Alastor and AG, I think it is time to finish this game, since there hasn't been any movement recently. We are at the beginning of a New Year, and it's also an excellent time to move on: wrap up the old and try new things. I thank you for your patience and collaboration in this game, and I hope to...

Re: The Halls of Medeia - Chapter 1

Victoria nods to the priest, and takes some time before answering. Oliver shifts uncomfortably in his chair and looks at Christine, trying to decipher her intentions. "Thank you, Father. I am satisfied with your part in this. Christine and Oliver, you put me in a difficult situation. You have i...

Re: The Halls of Medeia - OOC

Thanks Alastor, that is good to know. I understand, and of course with December coming this is to be expected. The only things that concern me here, really, is whether you enjoy the game and are still willing to continue. I am comfortable with the pace if you are, and I have room to go a little fast...

Re: The Halls of Medeia - OOC

Hi guys,

Just wanted to know if everything is ok with you.
Are we each waiting for the others to post?
Or are you tired of the game?

Please be honest. :)

Re: The Halls of Medeia - Chapter 1

Victoria appears to be considering her alternatives, until a maid arrives at the door. "Very well, Father. Since there is no immediate danger, let us just sit here comfortably and get to the bottom of this. Bertha", she says, turning to the maid, "come back in 30 minutes, I expect you...

Re: The Halls of Medeia - Chapter 1

Niles is happy to see that Christine's ankle is recovering well, and that she will probably be able to walk normally in a few days. Victoria asks over his shoulder: "Well? Is it serious?" Oliver is also worried and spies in Christine's direction. "How is it, Father? Should Christine b...

Re: The Halls of Medeia - Chapter 1

"Good, father Niles. Please see what you can do. I am calling a maid to help take her to the nurse. Meanwhile, Oliver... despite your confession, there are things I do not understand here, and I would like to get to the bottom of this before I decide if, or how, I have to punish you."

Re: The Halls of Medeia - Chapter 1

Oliver flinches just a bit as he hears Christine's new version. "Nonsense, Miss Fairfax. Christine is trying to be noble and effacing my guilt, trying to save me from my deserved punishment. It was I who wanted to go out to town; Christine tried to stop me, and broke her foot... I think." ...
