Van Helsing, terrible film, cool Ravenloft adventure. It had nothing ravenloftesque in it at all. It was a complete pile of crap. Its worse than Highlander II and thats saying something. Van Helsing was the worst movie I've ever watched. Hopefully you'll at least admit that Van Helsing is more Rave...

HoH looks good, but to be worth the pricetag it's going to carry it's going to have to be better than good. So I'm definitely going to wait and see what it's like before I commit to buying it.

I like this variant primarily for the flavor. The aspect of unpredictability, the idea that they can occasionally pull off something that they just shouldn't be able to do. But as mentioned above, the rules still need ironing out. As far as what's wrong with the Sorcerer as presented in the books, I...

They seem to be phasing out what few older D&D worlds they did give official support to. So yeah, very unlikely.

 Back on the topic: Suggestions for an outline? What about another *Lost Gaz*? - *The Doomsday Appendices*? Let's say these were the records S. made, but didn't submit to Azalin. One character for every region of the core. I'd pick Tepest, Lament and Forlorn... If we do it that way, I've got...

When the rules for fear checks were made, this is clearly not what they had in mind. Therefore, I'd say the standard rules don't apply in this situation. Obviously, if you were to follow them to the letter you'd have the majority of NPCs dropping dead from fright when the PCs walk in, and this would...

Batmans scarecrow should be fairly easy. Basicly a sorcerer with an overabundance of "Cause fear" spells and Illusion magic. I think there was a living or dread scarecrow monster published but I can't remember where. Well, there's the Dread Scarecrow on p. 132 in DoDarkness, but that woul...

I wouldn't see Lovecraft as forgotten either. Most people are probaly more familar with things influenced by his work, than his work itself. Yeah, I'd say that's definitely true. I love Lovecraft's works! Just last Tuesday I bought an old 60's paperback titled "The Dunwich Horror and Other Sto...
