They kept saying that the info on my credit card wasn't the same as the info I put down and each time I got this error I had to wait three minutes before doing it again.

Bottom line, it took a whole evening and I never did manage to get the file I wanted.

I'm not sure if this isn't already common knowledge, but SVGames has stopped selling ESDs. RPGNow still sells them, though. But when I tried to buy the ESD I was looking for at RPGNow I kept getting errors. The shopping system there sucks.

Think of the Crystal Shard, if you've read about it. Its the same sort of thing.

I remember that JWM had a story up on the campaign journals section of SotK about the Wishing Imp.

No, the PDF isn't free to trade, the promotion is over, and besides DriveThruRPG where the only ones given permission to distribute it for free.

And as for reselling, that violates copyright laws.

I use CDs both while playing, and while making up my campaign. Different ones though, usually. While Playing: Midnight Syndicate, Cradle of Filth instrumentals, opera ie. Toccata and Fugue in D-Minor, some LotR music, Baldur's Gate soundtrack. While Writing: Cradle of Filth, Evanescence, Nightwish, ...

If I need to generate a character I usually use the generator that came with the 3rd Edition Players Handbook. Otherwise, I prefer to do it by hand.

My favourites tend to change rapidly but as of right now: Dusk and Her Embrace by Cradle of Filth American Idiot by Green Day Fallen by Evanescence All very cool CDs, and they cover a lot of different moods for me. Disintegration by the Cure is also a great one. Oh, and Bat out of Hell by Meatloaf.

I think that if Arthaus is sponsoring something like this the line must be in trouble. Putting it out there will hopefully get more people into the setting and get them to buy the other books. Of course, on the downside, like Deschidado said, it encourages them to download other products via P2P

The DMG (3.0, it may have been corrected in 3.5) doesn't ever state how you calculate CRs for monsters you've created. Is there any definitive way to calculate CRs besides playtesting that you've come up with?
