What was that from? I haven't read any RL adventures and only 2-3 novels. I don't particularly like that idea, anyway.

Help with an Adventure: To the Salt Mines!

So my players are headed to Sithicus and for an upcoming adventure, I'm thinking about sending them to one of the abandoned salt mines. I kind of want to base it roughly on the Wieliczka salt mine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wieliczka_Salt_Mine), minus the modern health spa, of course, but large a...

Re: In case anyone is interested: My Ravenblog

Finally had time to read this. Very nice stuff! It's refreshing to see a Karina adventure that ISN'T during the festival. ;) I could definitely go for some "deliciously anachronistic frozen treats." Nice use of Bakhna Rakhnas. I love those guys. Looking forward to more. Please post here w...

Re: Personal Canon

I'm the same way. I found D&D to be hard to use, primarily because of the inflexible class/prestige class mechanics, and also secondarily because it has so many mechanics that depend on the Good/Evil/Law/Chaos alignment system. Exactly. The lack of alignment system allows for a much wider range...

Re: Personal Canon

Hello all! I've got a bunch, but I tend to make them up as I go along. I took away Darkon's memory modification (it doesn't make sense to me) for one. I use "witch" as the term for all of Hala's priests. I made Vistani (or at least some of them) playable--I don't use "half-Vistani.&qu...

In case anyone is interested: My Ravenblog

I've started a new game and this time I'm actually writing the events down. I've posted the first two sessions, in case anyone is interested:

Dreamwidth

or

Tumblr

Comments, questions, thoughts, and ideas are much appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Night Vale

They're different Tobins. Yeah I'm talking about Toben the Many..... <.<' Now I'm officially confused is there multiple tobens in ravenloft? I'm talking about the guy from Guide to zombies, crazy undead hive mind, likes practical jokes, and tormenting the living. Just the one. I, apparently, cannot...

Yeah, sorry. Meant Tobin the Many. The council seems to kind of be like that.

Of course, Night Vale could just be one city in a domain--StrexCorp is looking suspiciously Darklord-ish.

Re: Night Vale

The Glow Cloud is a newcomer. It's probably the City Council, which appears to be a single entity sharing several bodies, like Tobin. Either that or Big Rico.

I'Cath Question

After many thousands of years, I will be starting another Ravenloft game (using GURPS again). One of my players really wants to be from an Asian-themed domain. The 3e book has something on Rokushima Taiyou, IIRC. But I also know that there's I'Cath--which I vaguely remember as being fairly barren. I...

Fewer typos.

Re: Blaustein!

So, any word on when the SoS report will be done? Well, I don't want to make any promises we can't keep, but I can say that the majority of the domains are pretty much done, and the remaining few are being actively worked on. So... soon? maybe? I've enjoyed the previous gazetteers y'all have done. ...

Are Traveling Domain Darklords Load-Bearing?

I will shortly be introducing a traveling domain that has a great deal of (eventual) plot relevance to my game (or at least one of the PCs), and it is very likely that the PCs will kill the darklord--demilord? I forget. Anyhoo, what happens to traveling domains when their darklord dies? Do they beco...

Re: Blaustein!

Oh, and one other thought:

A Bermuda triangle, as either an element of Blaustein or a small, adjacent Domain. And maybe a ghost ship pocket domain (isn't there one already?).
