There's also no need for slavery to be described along lines of colour. I know little about Asia, but the Greeks, Romans, Egyptians and Persians made slaves of their own people. It was the usual case of triumphs of war for recent slaves and an ancient, sad inheritance for the rest. I think what's i...

I would very much like to join. :D Should I post my character's concept and details here or should I PM them to someone?

Yes such a book would really be something new and refreshing... I mean every guide more or less, deals with monsters and supernatural evil. What about the more mundane evil that exists in RL? What about the human monsters that make this place a living hell? Could we possibly cover something like tha...

This is good news indeed. :) I wonder if there is any chance to roleplay the arrival of the Fraternity members to our new home? The people who participated in the role-playing weekend could probably write something in the epilogues thread, but what about the rest of us? Perhaps a new thread in Cafe ...

Cursed... Blessed... Semantics really. I really hate hot and humid environments, not to mention the bugs, especially those blood-sucking fiends, the mosquitoes, but it will suffice for the time being I guess.

I can only speculate, but I hope this is the Fraternity's version of trick or treat. :?

I guess I was over-optimistic. :( They do say that hope dies last, but no one really pays any attention to the fact that it actually dies in the end.

After having read all twenty of the RL novels, I came to the conclusion that the problem is most of them were not of the quality one would expect... Apart from a few good specimens the rest were mediocre at best... Death of Darklord unfortunately falls under the same rule. Why did that happen? Well ...

Either way, it shouldn't have anything to do with the change in license, since the WW license never covered novels, WotC could have done this at any time they wanted. That's true, but what I meant was that, if WotC intended to start the line anew, it would probably support this endeavour with novel...

Joël of the Fraternity wrote:The ISBN isn't the same.
Can we now safely assume, that this is not a rerelease?

Let's hope you get an answer Joel. :D

Some rather unexpected news have reached our ears. Just check Joel's thread: "Death of Darklord rereleased?" This might actually have something to do with the whole matter. I do not really believe in coincidence.

Well, if it's the "Death of a Darklord" we all know and hate, er....xm...xm... well detest perhaps, then it's a shame really... :( There are other RL novels which are certainly worthy of a reprint (The Strahd books, Vampire of the Mists, Ravenloft Tales etc.) I couldn't help but notice tha...

True enough, true enough... I only wonder whether I was the circulation of the product that led to its discontinuation, or some other reason. Because IMHO the current incarnation of RL should have sold pretty well... What do you think? Even an educated guess would be really welcome.

A great TV series and really close to MotRD IMHO. It was dark and gritty, with nice twists and really weird characters. In the begining I was almost shocked by the raw realism of some scenes. I was deeply disappointed though that they discontinued it after the second cycle... :( The offici...

My vote would go to the Gazetteers too. I find them invaluable to both the DM and the players. And you can easily incorporate every kind of information in them (NPC's, organizations, new classes, creature statistics, etc) using the Appendix. It would be nice if the Fraternity could write Gazetteer V...
