Here is another thought, if no six-shooters exist in Ravenloft then the guy could have been drawn into Ravenloft from Ravenloft/Red death gothic earth.

If you go by real world guns. The wheel-lock, snap-lock, flint-lock and all the rest are all 1 or 2 shot guns.

The pistol in the drawing (VRA page 15) is a revolver and a 6 shot gun.

Here is a question or questions?

On the cover of VRA and on page 15, what kind of gun is that guy holding?

What domain has that gun and where can I find stats for it?

To my knowledge thats looks to be an 1800's gun.

I hinted at the typo and possible reasons for it in my netbook of dwarves. It's short and easily missed... I just checked out your right up of the dwarves another excellent work. My write up of Geddar sort of ties in with what you hinted at I think. Here is a preview of Geddar's Background: Geddar ...

Jester of the FoS wrote:I feel compelled to point out it's Gedar Ironheart. His first and last apperances refer to him as such and the typo only crops up later.

Thanks for your interest, in my write up of Geddar I am going to bring the 2 names together so the typo makes since.

Because there were (presumably) newbie gamers out there, who weren't involved in 2E-era Ravenloft, and had no idea who he was. Exactly. (It was also needed to justify the title, and served as an opportunity to clear up some of VR's increasingly arcane chronology.) Was there anything of VR edited ou...

Well all in all VRA I think is the best S&S VR Guide.
It seems like every time I read the book I find something new.

The more a VR guide tells about Van Richten the happier I am. Its a shame VRA Volume II will never be writen.

Lord Cyclohexane was kind enough to send me a PDF of the article. Great article I am going to include parts of it in the Van Richten Netbook. I liked the parts telling about VR's favorite cane :D

I'd also like to update Jameld of Hroth's stats and some of the other faulty or incomplete NPCs. Thanks for your comments!! The project is on its way though it is go...

Shiny. I plan to take my share of writing up NPCs in addition to doing the artwork. Also (and I don't have everyone's email, so I'll say it here): I am a professional graphic designer. I actually *have* the tools of the trade on my computer for document and book layout, as well as everything needed...
