I'm assuming this is a 3.5E game, but ditches those annoying class weaknesses they added in the 3.5E RL PHB? I'm in. Give me about a day or two to put together a concept and refresh myself with the basics of the relevant domains.

This would be my first PBP game in a long time, but it does sound like a very interesting campaign. I noticed that you listed Heroes of Horror, but not Libris Mortis. Was this deliberate or an oversight? What does the party consist of so far?

Either the Healer class from Miniatures Handbook or the Radiant Servant of Pelor PrC from Complete Divine. There are a few feats you might want her to look at, I think one spends a turning attempt to Empower healing spells. There's always the Healing domain.

One of my concerns is that we may have a cleric (iffy attendance rate) and since this will be the first actual exposure to undead I'm sure he'll try to turn it. Do you think stipulating +1 to turn resistance per siphoned victim would be in line?

Curious Halloween divination

While researching ways to make the special treasure in my Halloween game fit the holiday in some way, I learned an interesting superstition for unmarried women. Unmarried women were told that if they sat in a darkened room and gazed into a mirror on Halloween night, the face of their future husband ...

3.5 Custom Monster Balancing

As a holiday surprise to the people I play with online on a weekly basis, I'm going to be stepping in as the DM and he'll be posing as my character. I plan on running a weekend in hell type encounter and want to know if this is balanced enough a monster for CR 6. The players will all start out aslee...

Yes, that's much like what I had in mind. It is important to have human tribes there for me, human tribes that mesh with the jungle as much as the animals. As far as I rememer, the original writing doesn't have any of that, does it? Not since King Crocodile ate all the hairless apes, at least. :rol...

The Beggar's Cloak. A minor artifact that appeared to be nothing more than tattered rags. Has a benefit of halving any damage the wearer suffers. The other half of the damage is inflicted upon the most valuable thing the wearer has (or owns) other than the cloak. If the item has any hardness, the da...

Really nice stuff although the entry did cut off in the Current Sketch area. A nice mix of traditional fantasy meets Antebellum Southern US.

Four words: Turn of the Screw. A governess for two young children begins to suspect that the children are being haunted by malevolent ghosts, but as readers we can never tell if they're actually being haunted or if the governess is just completely off her rocker. There's an excellent Masterpiece Th...

I remember one encounter I had where the players used a spiral staircase the BBEG chased them up and when he reached the top, he was pushed down the steps, asleep. He was low enough in level and failed his save against sleep and I ruled he took damage as if he had fallen...it was about 50 feet up.
