Re: Which are your 3 favourite adventures/accessories/novels
FAVORITE BOXED SETS/ACCESORIES 1) Van Richten's Guide to [inset monster name here] They add so damn much to their subject matter, having glorious levels of in-universe 'fluff' to immerse you into the sunject/setting. In order of 'favoriteness', I'd say... Golems, Werebeasts, Ghosts, Mummies, Vampire...

Re: Reconciliation
Yea, my post was working reverse as the rest of you here in that I was trying to make 5e more like 2/3e. I considered making my own thread, but didn't feel that it was 'worth it' compared to posting it here even if it was a slightly different premise.

Re: Reconciliation
Ok, I wanna try to take the 5E Ravenloft and make it more like the 2nd and 3rd E versions I liked so much. This is not exactly 'Reconciliation' though, at least not the same way I think it's being used in the other posts? Mainly, I want to undo making every single domain it's own isolated island in ...

Re: Review thread of VRGtRL 5e
(NOTE THAT THIS IS AN INCOMPLETE REVIEW BASED ON AN INCOMPLETE READING SO FAR- I MAY ADD MORE TO IT LATER) When I first heard about this book, I was interested and excited. When I heard about all the changes that would be made, my interest and excitement died faster than it had for any previous inte...

Re: Movies that have that Ravenloft feel
Hereditary 2018: Witches. Seances. Demonic Possession. 'IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING OR AM I GOING CRAZY!?' 'THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING BELIEVE ME I'M NOT CRAZY!' How utterly, utterly helpless and doomed regular people would be in the face of a supernatural evil whose existence they can barely believe in,...

Was entertained but also disappointed, too much seemed to happen too fast with what felt like too little explaination. I think the second part was much better than the first though. At least #10 got a good long time between being fatally injured and actually regenerating so as to put his affairs in ...

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans trailer
Looks like it's prequel time for the Underworld franchise. Now we get to see exactly how the young Lucian grew up to become Darth... wait. I mean, how he fell in love with a hot vampire chick and started the whole war between his people and hers in a failed Romeo-Juliet thing. It's true, NEVER sleep...

The animation does look ameuterous (sic)... oh well, that's too bad. I'll still check it out at least rental to see if the story and dialogue remains good. How long is it supposed to be, just 90 or so minutes? That'd be way too short to do the whole book, maybe just the first half of it, like they d...

http://baencd.thefifthimperium.com/03-SlammersCD/SlammersCD/John%20the%20Balladeer/0671654187_toc.htm I read one of these stories as a little kid (Desrick on Yandro) in a short storeis collection called Alfred Hitchcock's Monster Gallery, and recently, in a fit of nostolgia, tried looking up the sto...

Rob Zombie Sorta Remakes Halloween
..pretty much what the topic title says. It's not simply 'Halloween 9: The Revenge of the Return of the Ressurection of Micheal Myers', but intended to be a prequel/remake of John Carpenter's original slasher movie, hopefully fairly respesctful of the original... Actually, at the end of the second book/movie, Eragon (after learing what it really means to be a Dragonrider from a wizened old elf dude) learns the terrible truth about his father and is forced to fight a direct blood relative who has become evil.... ..........SERIOUSLY. Eh, it's decent movie, but...
