Re: Taken... by the mists
Wulgar Harrowsun's rumored slaying of a weretiger brings up a good point; strangling, drowning, or suffocating are viable ways to do in a lycanthrope.

Aha! I caught the reference, although I've never seen the movie. It was a musical theatre show first, wasn't it?
I was thinking more of Jane Eyre and of various Gothic heroines.

Re: The thirteen Counts Strahd
Does your Strahd have any control over how he will be next round? I feel like he ought to have some agency because that seems like the point of Darklords: they keep themselves jailed. And which Strahd was the elven pirate captain? He has a modicum of control on his appearance; his personality, thou...

As the party discusses what to do next, carrion crows fly overhead.
Several of the birds land to the farmhouse roof to watch the scene below, occasionally cawing in an odd way that suggests laughter.

Re: Curse of the Witch-King OOC
Well I don't like dying in the middle of Dungeon because we are hurrying too much is the more important aspect to me and any Characters I runs main concern . That's fair. It will be much harder to pay the rent if Klokulf is dead. Even discounting the clock on the entire expedition, the time in the ...

Re: New 5E races
My next Ravenloft campaign will be 2E and feature a lot of differences from what I have run before, likely including some differences to the playable race line-up.

Re: New 5E races
I went a bit easy on dwarves in my 3Egame here, with the assumption they were semi-accepted in Richemulot so long as they kept to their own kind 'off-hours' and did the dirty work in the cesspits and sewers. Elves were less accepted, as they seemed like strange fairy creatures and did not serve a fu...

Re: Godefroy
Cool background story. I think you are all wrong for pronouncing this darklord's name :) In French, as I think Godefroy's name is solely found in French (Godefroy de Bouillon is a French medieval war hero), we say it as God-froa, the end rhymes with "froid" as in this lovely example: http...

Katrin joins the fight and soon the last of the attacking undead fall to the adventurers' spells and blades.
Only two of the walking dead remain, both controlled by Klokulf.
The breeze blows away the stinking smoke and the morning sun shines brightly on the scorched backyard.

Re: New 5E races
"[They] were so preoccupied with whether they could that they didn’t stop to think if they should." But seriously, the relationship between Victor and his creature in that book has an insane level of depth to it. I'm a fan of the book. I also like what we get in Ravenloft, with Doctor Mor...

That will drop the last uncontrolled one.
Klokulf may still act.
Then the round ends.
