Re: Fiend's reality wrinkle and 5th edition lair effects
I meant before they fill their corruption points. A fiend that fills with corruption points becomes immediately trapped as a darklord, unless I remember wrong. As I understood it they don't become darklords after being completely corrupted they just have no hope of escaping Ravenloft. As it is writ...

Re: Fiend's reality wrinkle and 5th edition lair effects
Azalin in the old Kargatane site has explicitly stated that half-fiends get reality wrinkles. Even Githyanki do.

Re: AI generated stories are not bad.
Here are two short, AI-generated horror stories: 1. In a ghostly town, an ancient clock tower tolls at midnight, each night. Each chime blurs reality further; inhabitants fade, leaving behind only their echoes. The last survivor, heart racing with dread, listens as the tower's bell tolls once more. ...

Re: Fiend's reality wrinkle and 5th edition lair effects
It is not so much that CR is broken when you go to level 20 (or even level 15). It is that 17th level party A is very different in terms of powers and weaknesses compared to 17th level party B. Party A may be more fire-based (spells, abilities, attacks) while party B may be more fire-resistant. Thus...

Re: Fiend's reality wrinkle and 5th edition lair effects
I don't think Gwydeon should be CR40 ... and I don't think Demogorgon should be CR33 to be honest. Demogorgon should be powerful enough to be dangerous challenge for a group of six level 20 characters. That means, Demogorgon should be CR 26-27. By putting G above Demogorgon as a challenge we end wit...

A VN that screams of Ravenloft
OK, I am not sure if I am allowed to post the name of this VN (Virtual Novel) as it could be considered promotion, so I will describe it and everyone that likes it, can google it. It is on steam. There's a village surrounded by impenetrable Mist (they got me there at this sentence). An Ancient evil ...

Does Mangrum still frequent the site? Can we ask HIM to tell us more about it?

Re: Recent Forum downtime
You threw the baby out with the bathwater... You went in to sanitize the house with a flamethrower... You decided the best practice to deal with the infestation in the village is to eliminate all the villages... Don't apologize. Be proud. It is a time for drastic solutions that are proven to work. :...

Here is a present from me... An image that can be used as an illustration for Sir Armand Ironhand's The Beast of Ehrendton, a tragic saga describing his encounter with the Black Duke. https://64.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m01v5aG5OG1qac76ro1_1280.jpg G. Re: Fiend's reality wrinkle and 5th edition lair effects
I think there's a reason this was cut from Ebonbane, and I think the reason is that EB is not incorporeal actually and it was an abandoned idea. I don't like the idea of Ebonbane being transcendent, I prefer him trapped, like Enseric in the sword of Neverwinter Nights.

AI generated stories are not bad.
Recently, I got to try API's ChatGPT-4-Turbo. I asked it to make a short fantasy story in 6 parts and then I asked it to expand each of those parts. The story it made was surprisingly good. I have tried it in the past with less successful results, although this time I used a specifically made "...
