Re: Campaigns with Undead PCs, Low magic

I would like to say that Ravenloft doesn't work as well as many may think with very low magic. That's odd. In my experience, Ravenloft actually works better as a low-powered campaign setting anyway, and low magic feeds very well into that. In 3rd Ed. there are entire domains that do really well if ...

Re: Real life fear/horror/madness

Odds and Ends Laundry Detergent Deterrent LomboDot did her own laundry while staying at my place, and her clothes always smelled fresher and cleaner than mine. I later walked in on her putting in some nice fabric softener into the load, so that explained the scented smell. It was nice and I loved t...

Maps Poster Size (30"x19") Misty Borders Red Domain Borders No Borders or Domain Names No Names Those are really a work of beauty, Jester! Well done! I'm technologically illiterate, so it took me an embarrassing amount of time before I figured out how to render the maps in their...

Re: Drawing a Map

Woah, I just stumbled back in here like some drunken atavistic brute.

That's an awesome map, Jester! I love the terrain rendering!

I'll be watching this development with fascinated eyes. Is this something Kickstarter supported?

Sorry to hear about the end of an era. (or two eras, I suppose, counting the lesbians). Hope things look up for you 4 crazy cats soon. (or that we get to hear some more good stories in this thread at least...) Thanks Gonzoron - things will be fine, I'm sure of it. The lesbians are both still young ...

Re: Real life fear/horror/madness

The Dark Side of Liberation LomboDot is gone and I am alone in the home. I woke up this morning at 7 a.m. and decided I would Get Crap Done. My checklist for today was: 1) Do dishes, 2) Clean kitchen, 3) Tidy up LomboDot's effects, 4) Tidy up house generally for SmallMom's and LoudDad's visit. Five...

Re: doveloft?

But even in the most compassionate and caring of the lightlords, there exists a spark of corruption, a hint of malaise. Perhaps they don't put the seat back down when they're done, or they sometimes feel irritated when people bring crying babies to the opera house. Either way, there is some element ...

Thanks, that's what we're hoping for too. Once she gets to China, she'll have to hit the ground running with the career search, but maybe she will find time to come back to visit me, and if life takes us that way, to think about something long term. We're rather hoping she doesn't have to join the C...

Packing It In Three hours to go before LomboDot is due at the airport. To say that much remains to be done would be putting it mildly. She has waited until now to clear away the collected papers, notes, documents, and personal effects of three years' residence in the U.S. as an overseas student. Th...

Re: Which is the best World Map?

Is there a map without place names?

I like Ravenloft's maps but I've changed some of the domain names to less-punny names (mostly in the northwestern nations) and now all the existing named maps are no longer accurate for me.

The Medieval Equivalent of a Briefcase Bomb Gondegal's guerrilla campaign against Drakov has entered a new deadly phase - he has brokered a deal with the Spawn of the Lizard and received delivery of a dragon's egg, acquired without knowledge from their venerated deity, Ebb. Gondegal is in two minds...
