Re: Malken

All this is more detailed in The Enemy Within, by the way, if you're looking for specifics.

Re: Malken

Does Malken make use of lieutenants of note? I can see Malken cowing a gang and then proving reliable for things like dissuading investigations, eliminating competition, or guaranteeing supply. I suppose I wonder a) how he started and b) how he maintains the administration aspect, especially when h...

Re: Malken

I think Malken should be more like Al Capone. He's dangerously unstable, but reliable enough, and knows how to get and maintain loyalty from his underlings. The criminal empire he heads is very much like Capone's too - there's gambling, alcohol, prostitution, animal fighting, etc as the "slight...

Re: Head hunters and Montarri

I don't recall where it is stated that Adam is a personification of evil that was created evil. As far as I know he was created by Monderheim and became evil due to his feelings of rejection. Canonically, he was created by the Dark Powers, as a dread construct. Born evil out of Mordenheim's megalom...

Re: Ravenloft Demographics out of whack?

And according to ... was it Realms of Dread? 3e Ravenloft? I don't remember... but according to something I read and remember vividly, the Pharazian nomads raid Har'Akir for slaves periodically. I would like a reference for this please, because I think you have this around the wrong way. The Akiri ...

In 3e, their familiars are a centipede, an owl and a viper.

You're right though. No cat. Odd.

Re: Clerics and paladins and moral ambiguity

Yagno's problem is that he knows on some level that it's just delusion. None of the other churches know/believe that. Personally, I'd play it that if you think - deep down - you're in good standing, you are. If you're not, or the church hierarchy has got together and excommunicated you, you lose you...

Re: Morgoroth and the Phantasmal Forest

There was *a* Phantasmal Forest around Shadowborn Manor. When Ferran Shadowborn left Alexi behind at the end of the Shadowborn novel and went home, his tales spread until (when the actual Phantasmal Forest appeared) the name stuck to the area around Tergeron Manor. All the eerie forests around Nidal...

There's a tarnished copper dragon in the Forgotten Children netbook.

There's the one in Nidala which doesn't actually exist.

Re: The Amber Wastes Cluster, Al-Qadim and a new Campaign

I don't know of anything about Sha'irs specifically (except to say that the gen are constructs of the Dark Powers, and they appear to work as usual without actually leaving the plane - something like clerics and their gods), but there was a genie in Children of the Night: Demons which might give you...

Re: Shadow of the Knife- Canon or Netbook canon?

Not canon.

Although SotK particularly is only just shy of the line, and would have been canon had we got up to the Paridon gazetteer.

You'd be better off trying to make sure each sub-page is saved in the Internet Archive.
