Re: Quoth the Raven #30 reaction thread.

BLAUSTEIN: LAND OF PIRATES AND JEALOUSY The Domain – Mistmaster says up front that this is a land of jealousy and simmering passions, which immediately reminded me of Invidia (at least, the canon version of it). But those themes are never really followed-up in the rest of the article. Bluebeard – S...

I always want to stat up my children, but, on the other hand, can you really put stats on, for example, a living bad dream who can subdue a pit fiend with a literal application of "catch your death of cold"?
Yes, a Kalaraq Quori might be able to do exactly that.

Re: The Corrupted

Lord Soth was renowned as a Knight of the Sword and became a Knight of the Rose 4 years before his death. Thats why I created him with more fighter levels and less Knight of the Rose levels (also I needed the bonus feat). Loren Soth, The Idealised Lord Soth Male human Fighter 6/Cleric 1/Crown Knigh...

Tepest: Land of Fairy Tales and Folklore The Famed and the Infamous – All our favorite storybook characters are here in one form or another (plus a few references that I'm sure went over my head). I especially like that Mistmaster turned Little Red Riding Hood into a frickin' wolfwere. That's the k...

Re: Quoth the Raven #30 reaction thread.

Tepest, Land of Fairy Tales and Folklore I will admit that I quite enjoyed playing "spot the fairy tale" as I read through this article. At the same time, though, the heavy reliance upon specific fairy tale references also made the article harder for me to take seriously. Since Keening is...

Re: Quoth the Raven #30 reaction thread.

A few initial thoughts on this year's Quoth the Raven ! It is nowhere near in order... 4. Mistmaster returns to the Mistworld with Blaustein (and Tepest but I'll cover that later)! I enjoy the Tortuga and Berber state influence on Blaustein, as I've always thought that the melange of "pirate p...

Re: Languages in Ravenloft

So, I'm slowly reading more and more Ravenloft things in between all the other things I do (and expanding my Ravenloft collection; I've recently found very cheap copies of the two Gazetteers I still needed!), and I'm left wondering something: How do people handle the different languages? There does...

Re: Quoth the Raven #30 reaction thread.

Tepest, land of fairytales and folklore: The Golden Apple seems like a particularly frightening possibility. I wonder what keeps the hags united. Even with Grimhilde at the helm, I'd expect some of the members to either jockey for advancement or else slink off to set up their own little fiefdoms. W...

Re: Quoth the Raven #30 reaction thread.

Tepest, land of fairytales and folklore: Mistmaster continues to show his ongoing passion for his Mistworld project. The fairytale theme is strong with this Gazetteer's cast of characters, with Darklady Grimhilde recognizable as a blend of Maleficent and Cinderella, rather than a pure expy of the e...

Re: Quoth the Raven #30 reaction thread.

Finally I had the time to read it thoroughtly, and I did enjoy what I have read. 2ed stats are not my cup of tea but Ian Work will be a base for me to work on when, soon or later I will have to write Pharazia, and G'henna for the Mistworld. My only complain with this two, @IanFordam, is that I great...
