Re: What would you want in an official 5e Ravenloft setting?
I’m tempted to say official rules conversion might be enough for me. They should leave the fluff to the experts (us). I think bringing back some of the Arthaus Kargatane would be wise, because I agree with Mephisto, taking the Gazeteers out to the clusters and islands is important, and a little guid...

http://www.fraternityofshadows.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=9311 This old thread I started may be relevant. Thank you Mr. Cummins, I knew I didn’t go back far enough. I even replied in that thread! I definitely think Germaine the mesmerism is a grandfather to Germaine at the top of the bloodli...

Re: Thoughts on...Dementlieu
Version 3 was created by an old board member here named Lord Cyclohexane, but I compiled all three. Ryan Naylor’s Illustrated History of the Core is so far head and shoulders above my own project that I stopped hawking it for a while, but his sticks to the canon formation. I’ve been updating mine al...

Re: Thoughts on...Dementlieu
Hated the false history too. Have you ever looked at the Core Genesis projects in my signature? Version 2 attempts to resolve this. By the way I've been updating it this year, so look forward to that... Long story short, the land of Dementlieu (and a few others) showed up with Mordent in 579. THe do...

Re: Thoughts on...Dementlieu
Indeed, mine was a typo (now fixed). There are plenty of typos in the bloodlines (Cain Timothy dying before he can sire children sticks out) and I was all set to chalk this up to shoddy editing until I saw it happen twice. And certainly I think we would all RATHER not think about these sorts of horo...

Re: Thoughts on...Dementlieu
Pardon board necromancy, but I'm glad I found this thread. While going through the Bloodlines in the black box I found something disturbing. Dominic was born in 700, and his mother Ernestine was born in 689. She was 11 when she died in childbirth. Even more disturbing, his father sired two more chil...

Re: Black Box era, what did we do?
I love the Quantum Leap campaign, i had an idea for one similar: after the Requiem, Azalin--as a demilich--is time hopping trying to keep the various domains from forming, and thereby never having a demiplane to get trapped in. He was refered to only as The Traveler by their Vistani guide, a Zarovan...

Black Box era, what did we do?
While watching the latest Hour of the Raven, it occured to me what a great storyline Gabrielle Aderre had from the Evil Eye to the Gazetteer. It was a tremendous improvement over the Black Box (indeed my gospel!) which painted Invidia as rather dull. I get the feeling the seeds were planted for teh ...

Re: Heroforge Ravenloft
Thanks for sharing. This seems like a good tool though I wish there were more options available. They've already updated it in the week I've been playing with it the hobby is taking off and they have improved a great deal over the last year, so no telling what else they'll add. It is certainly toug...
