Café de Nuit

I try to mix the two: if I go too "velvet glove," then my players tend to sit around waiting for something to happen. However, my planning usually consists of a couple basic ideas, and I come up with all the specifics on the fly. This leaves a lot of room for flexibility.

Forgotten Realms gets my vote by default, being the only other campaign setting I've played in.

Sometime late in 2002, I want to say around Thanksgiving or so. Found my way there by typing "Ravenloft" into Google. Never did make Champion of the Mists, sadly. Clocked out at around 600 posts.
