Re: Real life fear/horror/madness

Neighbor is watching porn again. I can hear it through the wall. Lots of screaming etc. I have better computer speakers than he does though. So I put on the shower scene from Psycho. Full Volume. Lots of even louder, more terrifying screaming. Lasted about 30 seconds. That got the message across. Wh...

Re: Real life fear/horror/madness

Thanks for the explanation! :D Madness check today trying to order a surprise birthday cake for a friend. We're having a special event for him at a nice restaurant, and I wanted them to do me up a special cake so we could surprise the b-day boy. I told them my requirements (which weren't elaborate) ...

Re: Real life fear/horror/madness

^Cute story bing, but could you explain the punchline? I didn't understand the bit about granular victories. Would you not want to admit to being sexually active as a lawyer to avoid legal troubles? Is that why it was funny? (yes, I'm dense.) My madness check for the day was reading that post! LOL. ...

Re: Real life fear/horror/madness

@HMB-- yeah, that one doesn't sound too "follow-up" worthy. Other fish in the sea and all that--sometimes stuff just doesn't work out. :( sorry to hear you had a lousy evening. I had a madness check with a young man on a date once. We went out to eat at a pretty nice restaurant and he was ...

Re: Adam: Is this... Love? (comments)

This is a really lovely story Manofevil! I loved Adam's innocence and his touching response to Inga's advances. I really hope you consider adding another chapter to this--I'm really curious now, can Inga and Adam learn to truely "love" one another, do they already, and what is next for the...

Re: Real life fear/horror/madness

Had a bit of a madness check this morning. Called a costume shop to commission, what I believed was, a fairly simple asian-style costume robe, maybe around the 200 range. They've called me back today with an estimate of 850, minimum, given the fabrics involved. . . One of my friends put it b...

Re: Man killed by bird at a cockfight

Wow! What a jerk the guy in the article was! To first participate in cockfighing and then to delay in getting medical attention?! I feel sorry for the roosters. I hope some of them were able to be rescued.

Re: Real life fear/horror/madness

2 Neighbors both figure into this story, so first, a little background on each. Neighbor girl who I will call "panda" constantly has boyfriend over for kinky sex. Or at least that is what we have all kind of assumed is going on, based on the sounds issuing from her room and her occasional ...

Re: Update on the Ravenloft Board Game

I have to reassess my initial impression of this game. Now that I have actually purchased it and played it a few times-- it is an excellent game and a heck of a lot of fun. The mini figs are fantastic, look incredible painted and the game plays really well. I still find the lack of a "board&quo...

Re: Valhalla Rising

You can already watch it on novamov -- it is OK. It took me a while to get into it (the beginning is fairly slow to me.) But it does pick up about 10 or 20 minutes in to it. I really found it interesting how the female witch was portrayed, and it was hard to figure out what side she was on, the lead...

My rationale is not the same as yours, which appears to be "you accepted the money and therefore you lose your right to voice an opinion". Thanks for your feedback bing, your comments are always interesting. I was not saying that he did not have the right, just that IN MY OPINION, it was ...

Re: Fabian art for Ravenloft, how I loved it...

I'm probably going to get flamed for this, but anyhow, I hate hearing things like this. Obviously Fabian was making a good enough living off of his Ravenloft drawings, so who really cares to hear that the entire time he would rather have been doing other work? I couldn't care less, actually. His art...

Re: Real life fear/horror/madness

Right. Just thought it was kind of funny, given her infamously venomous relationship with the editors while working on the Strahd books, this initally seems like a madness check. But she has worked as an editor for several short story collections however, so she's definitely qualified to give a pane...

Re: Strahd gets help

 Cute! The title is perhaps the funniest of all! Thanks for sharing this, its great to see Ravenloft in other contexts. I love the self-help group idea, maybe Strahd should read, "The Secret" and just get the heck on with his life! ur . . .unlife?
