We tried to get 3 new people into DnD last week. Two wont be coming back and the 3rd one is thinking it through. Why? The rules are too complex (as in "tehre are rules an you must now them") and The Game itself disturbed them (as in "a lot of geeks in the same room interacting). I ca...

Gertrude turned to the voodan, inclining her head respectfully. “I believe so. They seem to be unique to my country for I've not heard of them anywhere else.”

Fair enough and thank you. :) I'm only beginning to slowly look at it now; my games reading has fallen far behind.

I do hope that the Frats netbooks will continue in the tradition of their past ones and not switch gears into accounting for 4th ed "Ravenloft". 1) Nobody knows what 4e Ravenloft is yet. 2) The Gaz following the Nocturnal Seas report is unlikely to be produced before 2010. The question is...

Jester, could you sticky this thread? It really is too important to be lost in the Mists of old threads.

Gertrude was not optimistic about the cup still being in the room; evening was now approaching and the staff had surely fixed up her room during her supposed absence at the Maison. She kept her doubts to herself however, focusing on the effort of getting to her room. “Thank you,” she said to the bar...

Merci! I didn't think she'd be that much in the know but never really thought about how little (or much) that actually was. :D

Well, here's an interesting question for you: What do the fans want? .... Not so easy a question to answer, hrm? Thing is, the more people are involved in a fandom, the more different answers to this question there will be. I, for example, am pretty radical in Ravenloft. I'm very skeptical on a lot...

Who doesn't feel the urge to play a magic-farting dragonborn warlock after that? :P Exactly how many races besides humans are well accepted throughout the Core, clusters and islands? Oh yeah, none. Warlocks are not any different/scarier than the game's Fraternity of Shadows, who have certainly sold...

Most of the players I chat with on other forums don't feel 4E has been an improvement at all. It all depends on the players you choose to chat with. I'm looking forward to seeing what WotC will do with Ravenloft. Will I like the coming article, and any potential campaign setting books that come out...
