It is not set in Ravenloft; there is no mention of the Core, the Land of the Mists or Vistani. Domains of Dread seem to be something that probably includes Ravenloft as a unified Domain of Dread but isn't wholly centred on it. The things which connect them are the Mists and the concept of Darklords....

Agreed! Warning I might be a little slow in posting; I've got a ripping cold but will do so once my fogged brain permits.

It would probably be wiser to keep it part of the FoS metaplot since the FoS will still be involved in producing it. It also avoids problems of deciding who would invent the character used in narration. It certainly made the job easier in the Zherisian survey that way.
