Re: Come one, come all come to The Carvival.

I stepped away from the standard combat style for a Paladin. Valentin uses a dagger without a shield and is wearing light armor. He's probably going to be a little weaker than I could have made him. That will make Tirso the beater. Good luck  I'll be with you all the way. Well, you know, sl...

I loved Carnivale. I think Samson was my favorite character but Jonesey was awesome, too.

Re: Real life fear/horror/madness

You could have a child with each! Do it in secret and then seed the life of each child with hints at some terrible lineage. Slowly convince them with carefully engineered omens that they are each destined to rule but only if they destroy the others. It'll be priceless! Or, uh, you know......don't do...

And Nicodemus has left the building! 8)

Thanks for the game, Rafe. I'm a one character per game type of guy so I'm going to bow out. But I'll keep reading. You've piqued my curiosity.

Good luck to the survivors!

Re: The Nightingale - OOC

I'm glad you agreed on the alignment. I shuddered after I posted that last bit because I thought I might have started an alignment debate. I try to avoid those like bullets and boils.

Re: The Nightingale - OOC

Yeah, when I made up Nicodemus I was pushed into the Lawful Good alignment to become use the Detective prestige class. I had to decide if I was going to be the kind of lawful good that followed the local laws simply because they were the law or pursued a higher idea of orderly and benevolent actions...

Re: The Nightingale - OOC

Hmmmm, common sense doesn't really play into this situation. Even if I knew that Otto's weapon could kill most 1st level characters with one hit, I still would have jumped to defend Ammanas. It's in character for Nicodemus. That's all I need to feel comfortable. And in an apparent battle between two...

Re: The Nightingale - OOC

I'm also going to wait with my response for Rafe to get back to us. Otto's minimum damage (3d6+6 = 9) is greater than Nicodemus' maximum hit points so it's unlikely my attack will go off. So, I don't want to describe any actions when I am likely to be at -8 HP. In either case, it will be up to Boiro...

Hmmm, unlikely. 15 damage is going to be a bit beyond Nicodemus' capabilities at this level.

So, 19 to hit with 3 damage. Move action to draw my axe for future two weapon fighting.
