Just another short note: The question is not if SL was good or bad. :) Because, indeed, I think we all agree that it had good ideas. The question, however, is: Would you pay the full price (30$ or €) for a SL book just to use it as a *generic* resource*? - I personally wouldn't... (Currently trying ...

Edgar A. Poe MotRD netbook development concept

Now that the project is somewhat like *on the run*, here some instructions for all that want to contribute: 1. Write a mail to Rollenspieler.Enklave@web.de and tell me in which way you want to contribute. 2. Read at least ONE scientific comment on Poe's life/ work like for example Kenneth Silverman'...

Accordiing to the few historical resources that exist, the classical view of Arthur as a historical person is to identify him with *Artorius*, son or nephew of *Ambrosius was his name, I believe*, a Welsh/Roman chieftain who made a peace treaty with the Saxons in the 470s. Besides, *The Round Table*...

I liked *Return to Arlington Farm* a lot!

it may be that I do a short adventure with it: * the first fan work can I use without tremendously altering it.*

More of this, and QtR may come to rival the old Kartagane books. (And they are the absolute best fan made accessoires up to date!)

Last week was full of Real World struggles; so, the Poe Poll will have to wait until next WE.
Has anyone of you a new idea/wish concerning the book?

 So much to work on...

Besides RL, I've couple of campaigns running with DL and Erde, a d20 system. Although I am not an active player anymore, the setting I liked the most after RL is still Greyhawk.

My idea of that Poe netbook was that we don't write long adventures (which takes plenty of time), but shorter summaries of how the stories could be turned into hooks for a campaign. I think it's not advisable to let people play the stories as kind of Edgar A. Poe campaigns - most of the MotRD fans m...

Scarred Lands was solid mainstream fantasy, but it lacked of an unique flair, IMHO. I just didn't feel appealed by it, although I consider it one of the best d20 products out there. But just to use it as my default world, the books were too expensive and the setting's background was too weak. As mos...

Edgar A. Poe MotRD netbook

Hello, servants of the Dark Powers and foes of the Red One! bla...bla :) I am currently doing my *homework* for a MotRD 3.5 campaign based on Edgar A. Poe's stories and poems and I dreamed of publishing it as a netbook. (if there is no other way :weep:) Now Poe's work is so large that I doub...
