I guess it was inevitable in the game

Post by Scipio »

This one is gonna be a blast from the past for anyone that was at the Goat back in the day and remembers the Ask Azalin forum.

The group I'm playing in (DM'd by MagusRogue from the Goat) is going through Curse of Strahd. Some things go very wrong and one of our party members gets captured and chained up in the burgomeister's house. The rescue goes even MORE wrong and we end up accidentally killing the burgomeister after having him chained to the wall. Then my character, a goliath from the Bandit Kingdoms on Oerth, accidentally tears his arms off, leaving him little more than a torso. Several spells later, the head comes off, and he goes flying.

We did it. We literally had the oft-referenced Magical Flying Headless Torso. No word yet on using it to escape Darkon, though.
Dr. Cornelius Scipio, Rogue monster hunter, and owner of the Inn of the Drunken Wolf.

Rumors of my death are mildly exaggerated. I got better.

I don't know whether to laugh or scream after that description of events. :D
