Hi all,
Good lord, this thread is still alive. Not only is my memory of the smurfs forever sullied with visions of ravenloft filled with little blue guys. But now rainbow brite is added to this.
This brought back a memory I feel I must confes here. It is rather horrible.
I still own a Rainbow brite doll. There, now you all know. I won it once when I was five or six at a sort of toy convention where new toys were introduced to the greedy public. I made a drawing and won, beating a crowd of five year olds. It was some sort of green animal mascotte to the rainbow brite dolls. I have kept that doll for more than 20 years, never played with it much, but I kept hanging on to it.
But I can at least say it never slept in bed with me.
Tec goblin, don't lose heart, perhaps you can rewrite the story somewhat so it will become acceptable.
Jennifer

Actually, I don't think I can rewrite it in such a way - Stephen actually demands to through away all this cuteness and make it a Smurf-based horror story (I mean true horror) - I have already disagreed with this. True horror and smurfs are incompatible - the moment someone thinks the story is about smurfs, the board has ended up crying from laughter.
I created it as a Smurf/Ravenloft parody. I am ready for minor corrections but not complete re-vamping.
Anyway, I can always upload it when I find some time in deviantart. With a ton of legal disclaimers that is...
If someone wants to change the story, and use it for a QtR article, he/she can do it - there's no problem with me - but he/she will have to consult the rest of writers too.

Well, I've edited the text, it's ready-we won't be able to see it in QtR, but as soon as I get internet to my new apartment in France (it's a matter of days) I will be able to upload it in deviantart. Desdichado, time to begin working on the map

My daughters never really got into RB that much, they preferred 'My Little Ponies' & 'Jem'

Hi all,
Just to keep this on topic, please let me know when the ravenloft smurfs are online. I'd love to play this once with my party. just once.

My goodness, indeed, this was the mascotte. Mind you mine looks a bit ragged after 20 years of being ignored and sitting on a bookshelf.Would that be Lucky the Sprite?

What's wrong with He-Man toys? My original Faker doll sits atop of my monitor.Desdichado wrote:And what am I supposed to say...? *Sneaks over to his MotU toy collection*Jennifer wrote:all my youthfull sins are coming back to haunt me.

Wow, your Battle Cat must be really heavy...Desdichado wrote:Drinnik Shoehorn wrote: What's wrong with He-Man toys? My original Faker doll sits atop of my monitor.
Well, nothing really. Orko is sitting on my bookshelf, He-Man is guarding my CDs, Battle-Cat is sustaining my books in line...
I've lost my Panthor, though.
