S and the time of her studies
Does anyone know at what time S was studying at the University of Port-a-Lucine? Need to know for a bit of background for another character.

You wouldn't, by chance, know her full name, would you?Mangrum wrote:Probably sometime circa 735, -ish, give or take.
Hindsight is, after all, caused by a lack of foresight.
Death rates exceeded 100% in some towns.
Charles V spent most of his reign aging.
This was beginning of Empire, when Europeans felt the need to reach out and smack someone

Considering that he's the co-creator of that character, I'd say the answer to that is a definite "yes".....just don't expect him to tell you.Tykus wrote:You wouldn't, by chance, know her full name, would you?Mangrum wrote:Probably sometime circa 735, -ish, give or take.

Of course! Her full name in all of our planning materials was...Tykus wrote:You wouldn't, by chance, know her full name, would you?Mangrum wrote:Probably sometime circa 735, -ish, give or take.
"S."
That's her name, as far as I was concerned. I can't speak for the other Gaz authors, but I personally never planned on revealing S's full name, and wasn't looking forward to coming up with one if pressed.
If you want more of an answer, however, the concept of S evolved from a pre-gen PC I used in several adventures (including "The Heart's Final Beat" and "Farewell to the Flesh") named Marie DuChance. (Note, however, that S evolved far beyond her origins. You could put S and Marie next to each other in a scene and I doubt anyone would suspect that one was based on the other.)

While this thread is a bit old, I have to say that S has to be one of the best characters ever developed for creating discussion. I remember when the first gaz came out and how everyone was trying to determine her (which we didn't even know then) identity.
You did a great job on that one.

Vote Cthulhu! At least then we know we are going to get screwed.
