A Farewell Note from Rafe

Post by Le Noir Faineant »

Hi folks,

The session of February 1s, 2009, was the last session with me as DM of the RLO campaign.
From now on, fellow Cafe de Nuit member ewancummins,
who already demonstrates his skill as the judge for the
"Mists over the Musarde"-adventure here at this very website,
will take over my duties.

I will stick around, though, and maybe even DM an occassional side story,
but for the time being, I must focus on my exams.

Well, this has been a long run, over three years since the beginning of the Stauntin Bluffs campaign,
and over a year and a half since the start of RLO.

Many thanks to all who participated, who gave me advice here on the boards and in secret,
and to all who have bothered reading our stories.

As to my personal future concerning my involvement in the Ravenloft web community,
I have strong doubts that this was the last time your hear from me...
:Strahd:

Yours,

Rafe

Your game was one of the best I have ever played Raf! :D

Thank you for that was an honour! Farewell and hope to see you around! We will miss you, that for sure!

Good luck Ewan, I know that you will be a great DM as well.

:) Thanks, man!

As to MoM, I'll stay as long as I can!
- Even just to have an excuse to continue this site on a regular base! :)

... And apart from that - you know what I always say:

Though I intended him as a parody, I feel I AM CIRDAN.
No character has ever come so close to my real personality...

I just can't abandon him! He's somewhat liek my Matrix avatar! :D

Great game Raf. Yours was my first one here ;) It also gave me the urge to DM my own. I also am glad you actually liked my article about Strahd!
I know we can keep in touch through the other boards and email!
Good luck with your exam , good buddy :D

And ewan I'm sure you'll do fine cause your MoM game is awesome as well.

Rafe! Sorry, I was away for a bit and just noticed this.

Wow, sorry to hear this, but I totally understand how other things pop up, and I'm glad you'll still be around the forums. Thanks for letting me participate in this story and I hope to join in future tales, too.

:) Glad to have you back, Ken, and thank you for the kidn words!

Hope everything's alright with you!

If you join Ewan's sequel, we will have the chance to play together again anyway, since I am already rolling out a character to accompany the group on their future adventures...

This is my first time noticing this thread, and although I had heard elsewhere of this news I wanted to add my comments here.

Thanks Raf, for taking the time and putting in the effort to run the first ever PbP I ever played in. By doing so, you set a very high bar to match.
