Providence, RI - Necronomicon

Post by Jonathan Winters »

Hello everyone,

A couple of buddies and I will be at the Rhode Island, Necronomicon on the weekend of August 21st.
It's a spur of the moment thing! Driving aaaallll the way from Montreal!

Anybody else going?
Or familiar with the event?
Or the city?
Anything to do absolutely? or avoid?

Thanks!
Patrick

You reminded me of my trip to RI.

Have a nice walk in this beautiful city, hopefuly at night.

Do not forget the salts and the formula!

I'm moving houses and will be probably tapping boxes on that weekend. Sinon, si je changes d'idée, il y a un siège de libre? :)

I know nothing about this con, except that it has the greatest name in the history of cons. (good luck with your move, Joel!) (and have fun at the con, Johnathan!)

He came to Québec?!?!

I had totally forgotten that!
That's pretty neat.

And I had read your piece on HPL (it seems like eons ago)...
But thanks! It was nice reading it again!

And I will let you know if I happen to see any Shoggoth pubs or anything.
:)

Hey Steve!

It's been too long!
I hope you're doing well!

Yeah, NY ain't too far, but, you know, it's always surprising.

:)

Let's try to get together in the Fall for coffee!

Yes, Lovecraft wasn't a traveler, he prefered to stay home and eat ice cream :)

But he had a trip in Québec, which I think he liked. Il y a même une plaque commémorative http://www.lapresse.ca/le-soleil/opinio ... quebec.php ;)

Since I wrote this, I bought on ebay a copy of the To Quebec and the stars book.
