If I'm able to act, Shillelagh on his walking stick (maybe prior to going back into the house) and then move to the trap door, and try to either pull it open or smash it in with the magic stick.

update posted with results
I assume any undeclared PCs actions went to helping NPCs and controlling the fire.

Re: RAVENLOFT: The One That Got Away OOC
second fire fighting roll
the nature of the fire makes it harder to snuff
[dice]0[/dice]
That's a good roll, though, so I rule the party and NPCs (watchmen with water wagon, neighbors, innkeeper, one of the guests) manage to first contain and then kill the burn without anyone being injured.
This takes some time and requires cooperation.
Anybody bailing early on the effort?

None.
But that stubborn alchemical mixture keeps flaring up on the SECOND STORY off the inn, where the blast went off earlier.

Right, and a second roll to follow up on the first roll.
It's just the one fire.
No nearby buildings have gone up.

Re: RAVENLOFT: The One That Got Away OOC
What's the party's general intent?
1Rest and recuperate, get sleep for spell prep, etc
2Track those guys who fled the inn on stolen horses
3Investigate scene of fire further
4Something else, which hasn't been mentioned in the IC thread?
5 Split up and do...?
