Benn just found
VIEW CONTENT:
possible evidence for Nebulogenesist ideas.

Nebulogenesists argue for spontaneous generation of both living organisms and fossils, and even the random creation of entire landmasses, all coming from the creative matrix of the primordial Mists.

Some scholars point to fossils as proof that world must be very old and that animals and plants evolved into the current forms over long ages, while wind, water, and tectonic shifts altered the landscape.

A third school suggests that other worlds exist and everything in the Land was moved to it via the Mists, or developed from things and creatures that were so moved. This idea is unpopular among Lamordian scholars and is associated with foreign religious cults.

Sorry for my absence, a bit busy. So... we found evidence that the Mists create the domains? Isn't that kinda... you know, common knowledge?

Yes and no.

Most people are aware that the Mists have, from time to time, withdrawn to reveal new lands. Or old lands long thought lost, like Borca and Dorvinia.
And if lands are newly created, how is it possible they appear with cities, even ancient ruins?

Major theories break down to three categories:

Mists generate entire countries, complete with people and beasts and buildings.

Mists cover the pathways between lands, sometimes actually covering regions, and when the Mists withdraw the new route ofr country is revealed or connected (to other lands),

Mists transport lands , peoples, beasts, etc. from other worlds, planes of existence beyond the Mists.

Remember, in-game 'false history' is not false. It's what people think the past of the domains was.
And IMC, more of 'false history' may be true than one might expect from reading the GAZ line...

Is it possible to get any of the collapsing fog stuff tapped in a sample tube or pouch?

If the party is travelling, is it going:

off the road to side A (slightly reconned by Benn already)

off the road to side B

on the road direction C

the other way on the road, D

?

Then there is Katrin's theory which is that places outside the city contain a bunch of yokels with straw in their hair who can't keep the geography straight.
