The red box re-release (propably in 4th edition)

When I saw it, I was ... puzzled. Why they picked the red basic box of 1984 for the new starting box for 2010?

I wish I could re-buy the original red box. :( The one I have is good and solid, but I would like to buy it again for sentimental reasons.

Yeah, this is a 4e product. They are just using the classic Red Box look for nostalgia reasons. I like the sentiment...

For some reason alot of places are doing retro looks. I was in a walmart last night and alot of the food packages I saw were all retro.

I can imagine this giving rise to some confusion on ebay. Puzzled aunties buying a book for their gamer/collector nephews and then thinking "But I got the one with the right cover...!"

In the shop shelves it should be okay though - anybody who's actually dedicated enough to walk into a second-hand book store looking for the original book will probably know enough to tell it from the 4th Ed. update.
