Players seeking PbP Games / PbP DMs seeking players
I've been wanting to join one, again since I've been hanging around here quite often now so just wanted to open a topic to let people know I'm interested having not done one before. (or at least i started one but fell off the boat.) So if anyone gets room in their game or starts one up let me know thanks!
Edit: Just post your request in the topic and someone will come along and see if you are wanting to DM and seeking players or visa versa!

Re: Player seeking PbP Game
Not sure if i'm allowed to bump but figured i'd get my topic back on the first page incase any slots have opened up. Thanks!
Re: Player seeking PbP Game
Im not sure if you are allowed to bump either but I am glad you did. I would also be interested in a PBP game. I have never participated in one here but I have played some nation simulations.

Re: Player seeking PbP Game
You might be better off posting in the Cafe section, where the pbp games happen... in fact, I'll go ahead an move this there. And I'll go ahead and sticky it, as the official "players and DM's seeking players" thread.

That sounds like a good idea!
Re: Players seeking PbP Games / PbP DMs seeking players
So how does one go about becoming part of a game?
Re: Players seeking PbP Games / PbP DMs seeking players
It's all a matter of talking to someone who's hosting a game and looking for players. There are not always open games, so try and scan this forum. When you find an opportunity, jump in for it and then commit! Some games actually start from the ground and go a long way!Arjuna wrote:So how does one go about becoming part of a game?
Another way is to follow the ongoing games and apply with the DM for a possibility to join when some vacancy opens.

Sounds like good advice but i'm just reading the one I fell out of, and a few other one's just to keep boredom at bay.

I'm looking for another player to either take over playing a character that is not being played by a player any more, or you can make another character to replace him if you wanted to .

Ah, right the Back to Basics game is coming back online.Lord Skybolt wrote:I'm looking for another player to either take over playing a character that is not being played by a player any more, or you can make another character to replace him if you wanted to .
Man, I really love my PC in that one. It would be way cool if somebody took over Arnulf. I mean, what's not to love about Ravenloft's version of Bobby the Barbarian from the D&D cartoon?
A little background, in case anyone is interested...
In the FR/Raveloft crossover I ran (which was a follow-on to Raf's long running game: Staunton Bluffs) Rafael played an evil barbarian called 'Ironheart.' He was huge, scary, and ultraviolent. At one point in the game, he nearly killed a linkboy for the local militia by beating the kid against a cliff.
The boy was saved by another PC.
The boy is Arnulf; the kid who survived! His barbarian rage is the result of psychological trauma (or maybe brain damage) from the beating that almost killed him.
I play his teenage sister, Dalorna Fenswick. She's a necromancer-- a LG necromancer who makes cute zombie houseplants. Her motto is ''Better living through necromancy!"
Delight is to him- a far, far upward, and inward delight- who against the proud gods and commodores of this earth, ever stands forth his own inexorable self.

Im not sure I would want to try a character that already has a lot of backstory but I wouldnt mind playing my on pc.

Ewan, just curious. Why is the game called "Back to basics"? What's it about?

You'd have to ask the DM why it's called Back to Basics.

I'd be willing to give it a shot. I'd also read through the material to get to know the character if you need someone to take it over. Just would definately like to get my creative muscle going again.
Edit: Though I see Arjuna posted first and not sure their is room for two. xD
