He actually faked them out.
Delight is to him- a far, far upward, and inward delight- who against the proud gods and commodores of this earth, ever stands forth his own inexorable self.

Oh goodie!
History prefers legends to men. It prefers nobility to brutality, soaring speeches to quiet deeds. History remembers the battle and forgets the blood. What ever history remembers of me if it remembers me at all, it shall only be the fraction of the truth.

Thom and Petrie are like an uber violent Bob Hope and That Other Guy in the 'Road to'...' movies.

So -small talk and daily lifer?
You can make a Gather Info roll on those topics. It might be nothing useful, but if you like, you may roll. Thom's a good conversationalist. This will also help him steer the conversation away from his business on the island (Bluff would do that too).

He is only steering away from the business because they are at the dinner table. No need for the gather information, his questions would be generic. After dinner they can discuss business.

Just to clarify, Eustace senses like there was a major shift in personality within Sancerre since the ghost was subdued, Juergin let go and Benn's veiled accusation. He's not sure of what's inside Denys' mind, but he did not like to be treated the same way as by Cpt Griffith. It might be a coincidence, but he is now mistrustful of Sancerre who had been polite up to the moment.

Based on your roll, I gave a likely explanation in the IC thread. But it's up to you what to believe. I didn't say whether he was bluffing.

Sorry if I've kept you waiting. Yes, Primeiro will go with the group. I'll catch up on the IC thread now.

No need to apologize.
I dislike railroading, so I tend to wait.
Of course, for minor or inconsquential things, it's often fine to skip a bit.
Okay, I'm adding a BIG update, guys.

Indeed, feels like the climax is upon us. And that quite a judgement call is necessary here.

Everline doesn't like it, but if it will put Dodds to rest forever and end this cycle of torture and murder... then let it be so.
If that shadow tries to stop the ghost from getting the *bleep* out of here, though, it is going to get what-for. =_=
