This guy works for the Peace Corps in Mongolia but he reminds me of a certain Falkovnian sellsword...

The Peace Corps and Mongolia...two things that I never thought I'd hear in the same sentence.

I saw this picture and immediately thought "Eternal Order of Darkon". It reminds me of a Sentinel, bearing the feeble light of civilization and life, in the face of overwhelming death and oblivion. The Order might teach that life is a mere brief interlude between the darkness before and the darkness afterwards... like a bird in a storm, flying into a mead-hall's light and laughter, but then flying through the windows at the other end of the hall and back into the night.

Dunno if there are any huge canyons in the Vuchar River, but imagine seeing these as a warning as the river approaches Necropolis...

Strangely enough that picture is nearly identical to what I envisioned Eternal Order temples as looking like (the walls, at least). I don't know if I saw it somewhere before and forgot about it or this is just a weird coincidence. Either way, great find!

Elizabeth Bathory? (And for the record, most historians believe she was innocent of the worst of the crimes she was accused of; things far worse than killing young women and bathing in their blood).

Interesting.... those are the only things i've ever heard her accused of myself....

Yeah, I mentioned that once in a thread specifically about her. It went poorly. :/

I'd detail some but Gonzoron would nix the post. The Granny Rule and all that. Suffice to say she was accused of things that make murder and blood-bathing look tame. Most of the worst were leveled at her by her fellow aristocrats when she began to murder their daughters when she ran out of peasant girls. That was actually the only reason she was finally stopped.
