Mists of Winter (formerly titled The Winter King)

Post by ewancummins »

The name-change reflects the story possibilities being shaped by player choices. The start of the game may feel messy, but I think it will firm up as we move into the emerging story.

It also feels right to me that the title should hearken back to Mists over the Musarde since this one continues the story that began in the same city, Pont-a-Mousseau, and involved certain veteran PCs.

Now, a question:

How often do you expect that you will read updates and post responses? Please give a conservative answer, not an optimistic one. This will help me pace the threads.

Once every day for me.

What I mean is I check every day, but only post when it concerns Franz.

Once every couple days works fine with me.

I check it during the day fairly regularly. Don't always line up with the rest of you, is the problem.

I believe at least twice per century... :P

Seriously, sometimes I check the game but don't reply unless I feel I need to. If I have to be without internet for 2 days or more I'll give a notice although I don't expect that to happen.

I'm working on improving the pacing so that nobody is left out, but things don't crawl too slowly.

That said, I expect there will be slow stretches.

If I have to pause or slow the game, I will post an announcement. I try always to do that, so my players aren't left wondering what's going on with the game.

I check often, mostly nights though. The story provides a mild form of entertainment for me while I am working. That and hoping when I check the thread, a character has died off or otherwise been retired. Cause you know the return of Galandel would be most awesome! Either that or the party gets Thom the mild manner bookseller into some more trouble.
History prefers legends to men. It prefers nobility to brutality, soaring speeches to quiet deeds. History remembers the battle and forgets the blood. What ever history remembers of me if it remembers me at all, it shall only be the fraction of the truth.
