Big news-

Duke Devlin negotiated a peace treaty with Alamie, with the support of the Western Imperial Temple.

• The Duke is to marry Lady Soraene, the daughter of Carilon Alam.
  
  The Duke recognizes his cousin, Teran Alam, as Duke in the East and Duke Teran recognizes His Grace, Devlin of the House Flaertes, as Duke in the West.
  
  Occupied Alamien lands are returned to Alamien sovereignty and rule, but Tuornen retains garrisons, castles, and appointment of sheriffs in those lands.
  
  Tuornen pledges aid to Alamie to defend against any attacks from the Five Peaks or any other invader.
  The heirs of Devlin and Soraene shall rule the west side of the river in perpetuity.
  
  If Duke Teran passes without legitimate issue then the heir of Duke Devlin and Duchess Soreaene shall rule both realms as one reunited realm, and his heirs after him in perpetuity.

(For the first time in three generations, a great many people in the two duchies see a strong hope for lasting peace and perhaps even reunification on terms agreeable to both realms and families. Significant minorities in both countries oppose the treaty, but majority opinion supports it. The Western Imperial Temple acclaims Devlin and Teran as peacemakers and examples of wise rulership. )

NEWS FROM AUTUMN



A great festival in honor of the upcoming marriage of Duke Devlin Flaertes and the future Duchess Soraene Alam was held in Haes, with smaller celebrations across the two duchies.

Rebuilding in Haes, as burned out areas in and around the city are cleared and new buildings rise.
Some homeless refugees return, and some new citizens arrive.

Scandals and in-fighting plague the Militant Order as it tries to rebuild from its losses to the Goblin horde.
