He gave you only a little more than what you estimated things (on Gertie's shopping list) would cost.

I am moving forward , based on IC and OOC posts.

Quick OOC summary:

Aldron's agent/funds already disbursed cover your costs.

Party regroups

Time passes during which the party may make any preparations, get rest, eat another meal, and so on.

Damien disappears for a while. When he returns, he tells the others he has skirted the fringe of the Holbin Estate and peeked over the fence. Not a full scouting job, but going in would risk the guards, any dogs the Holbins might employ, and possibly worse things...

The book cover is finished and the package dispatched by runner.

At night, the party proceeds to the Holbin Estate in order to spirit away Elissa Holbin

----

I will repeat this info in the coming END OF CHAPTER IC update and scene shift.

Okay, so the chapter end is posted.

I will put up CHAPTER FIVE very soon.

Chance of interim encounter

Now is the time to let me know:

any equipment changes to what you have on your sheets, especially armor worn and weapons carried openly

any attempted disguise

spells prepared

anything you would have obtained in the marketplace
(If no one else thinks of it, Damien will suggest renting horses and a perhaps a small wagon so you don't have to jog all the way to the Dancing Maidens)

anything else you feel the DM should know before your character enters the Holbin Estate and attempts to reach Elissa Holbin

Since we might get in encounter (even if we will try to avoid it) Tom will wear his leather armor so the skills bonus will be changed.

Take a wagon and horses is good idea, but who can be the wagon's driver?

No special skill is needed unless tricky maneuvers are used, or high speed.

Guy with the highest DEX would make the best driver in an emergency.

This wanders dangerously close to meta-thinking, but I have to think that only a fool would use a sleep brew without testing it first, and I don't think Alfonse is a fool. So, would I have found out that it doesn't work at this point?

How would he test it? Put some in his stewpot?

That wouldn't be a good test. Find another dog and feed it to them.

We could test it on Gem, if Tom says it's ok. We need to know if this works or not

No way Tom will allow that sorry guys, Gem is like family to him and exactly because we don't know the effect he will not agree to to test it on his dog. Better try it at a stray one.

Ok,so lets run after stray dogs in Povero and test the concoction on them. If we can , after all, catch them.. Yes,,, run after stray dogs,,,,, try to catch them, of course, then try the concoction on them... sounds like we won't have enuff time
