Tom will offer Elissa a boost to get up the fence, then he will climb himself up.

Who has the rope? It may come handy.

GERTIE and Elissa tripped a couple of times along the way. Tom and Damien may have helped them up.

Still you guys DO reach the wall.

Everyone please note that the wall in question is not the wall of a house. It is the stone fence that runs around the entire estate. The estate, as described here and shown on the maps , is pretty big for an urban estate. It contains a lot of open ground, a vineyard, outbuildings, pastures, a pond, etc.

Remember that the burglars had to cross a vineyard, lawns, and go uphill to reach Holbin House..
So when you guys run back to the wall, it is a race for freedom, not just a short hop over a fence.

Now, initiative.

Alfonse had an action readied.
He was going to help Fild.
But he definitely would have heard or seen the party members coming. And their pursuers are very noisy, what with thundering hooves.
I will therefore allow him attempt his sleep spell now.

That means not helping Fild over the border wall this round. Alfonse would be hauling himself back up before he drops, and casting his spell in haste.
If it does not work, or doesn't get them all, he might be exposed to attack.

Otherwise he can act with the rest of you AFTER the horsemen.

Their action will be to surround the party on this side of the wall, some of them riding close enough to slash or trust at anyone trying to go over the top in either direction.
And they will talk.

Ok so if we climb over the wall, the horsemen can not follow us on horse..... in other words they'd have to leave their horses to follow us

I suspect that line about the lights of Holbin House being visible atop a hill "a mile beyond the perimeter" might have gone unnoticed. No worries.

Elissa is healthy, but still, she's not a track star. And a couple of those dex checks failed, indicating trips.

Yes, unless they ride over a horse ladder ( big planks) or use a gate, or something. All of which would take some time. Ten feet is too high to jump the mounts.

Noted.
And check out the revised post. Same basic info, but added details. The action, timing, distances, should all be clearer now.
