RAVENLOFT: The One That Got Away OOC
Re: RAVENLOFT: The One That Got Away OOC
My guess would be the Grim Bastion.
"Of course," Benn mutters, "It would be a damned shame if we ever knew what the hell was actually going on."

Was that an early volcano explosion? Or a gunpowder\magic explosion? Has anyone actually told Raen about what the Vistana said? How far is the boarding house? Did the earth shake?

Raen isn't aware of any natural volcanic activity in this region.alhoon wrote:Was that an early volcano explosion? Or a gunpowder\magic explosion? Has anyone actually told Raen about what the Vistana said? How far is the boarding house? Did the earth shake?
Gunpowder or magic could have wrecked and set aflame that boarding house, sure. Or something else...
Nobody has told Raen about the gypsy's warnings. Yet.
The boarding house is nearby--just across the lane.
The windows rattled.

Mage armor up and Raen heads to the door.

assuming each of those plumes is a separate Ash Wolf, how many are there?
Kat also heads for the door. The answer to this question may determine which one...

Hmm. I had meant to have Benn explain the details of his meeting so far.

Face pressed to the window panes, peering into the murky evening...she counts about a dozen. That's what she can see from this vantage point.
Could be more...

TWELVE ash wolves?! Or twelve plumes that might-but-hopefully-not be ash wolves?

You guys see smoke/ash plumes.alhoon wrote:TWELVE ash wolves?! Or twelve plumes that might-but-hopefully-not be ash wolves?
No wolves.
But it's poor visibility out, and most of those plumes seem to touch down (or rise up from) low spots/ground level locations completely blocked from your vantage by buildings.

So far, in this adventure I have been far more a hindrance than help.
My apologies everyone.
Raen will try and help the party members to save people.

Without Raen casting spells and then soaking a brutal assault, either Sara or Kat would likely be dead right now.alhoon wrote:So far, in this adventure I have been far more a hindrance than help.
