Delight is to him- a far, far upward, and inward delight- who against the proud gods and commodores of this earth, ever stands forth his own inexorable self.

Truth be told... I am not sure Raen would have noticed "the layer of dust". I mean, I don't suffer from a horror check but I found myself in the dark surrounded by big rats, let alone wererats, I wouldn't be noticing such things.
We have established in the past that Raen has no idea that wererats are important part of Richemulot daily problems, right?
Where did he found himself once his flight ended?

But he did get a quick look around before things got bad.
I mentioned dust in that post. I've clarified a bit.
He failed his " passive" spot check, anyway, so he missed the...
Other stuff.

Raen had also rolled a nat 1 on a fear check, triggering an old horror check failure...
He was not in a normal state of mind the whole time.
Any way you want to RP his reactions to what he saw, his interpretations of the rattalk, etc seems fine to me. He is your PC.
I just want to make sure I'm giving sufficient info in the IC posts.

Ehhh... you read too much in a random comment. I was just making a light comment. Certainly didn't expect a large reply on it.
Public house? A drink is in order.

Re: RAVENLOFT: The One That Got Away OOC
Just thought that I never checked if the guys that routinely go to the sewers and have big expensive bronze rat statues are wererats.
If they attack, plan is to fend them off and throw silver pieces in their faces as a distraction if they start to change. And run.
I really hope that won't be necessary, but just in case... initiative.
