Shana looks a little panicked

"I have no way to put out the fires!"

With a gasp she sends another ripple of magic missiles at the creature, focussind desperatly on the target as it is pinned by the wolves

[I am a little confused. Does Inovidil want to cloak the party's escape, or is this meant as a distraction in favour of a later offensive move?]

With a crazed laughter, the devil greets the wolves... A quick word of command from its burned and blackened lips, and the small living flames spring from the trees and burn the animals as they are running.

The remains of the wolves fall next to Brethana, on the dry and rotting ground...

The demon doesn't seem to care about or to have realized Fallenleaf's presence...

Before George can think about if this wasa wise decission, he feeels a clawed hand in the neck, and is oulled from his feet and into the air and right into the course of Shana's magic rays of energy! [8 DAM]

Around you the entire wood has begun to burn, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to breath... You can hear the mourning of the dying treeants all around...

Suddenly, the boy's eyes flicker, like if he was returning from a long sleep.

His voice is a whisper, as he frees himself from Moorkroft's grip and calls one single word into the void:

Ezra

Dead wolves

Seeing as nothing really seems to affect the demons , Brethana yells out "RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and puts away her Great Sword, grabbing the young Arlington, picking him up and carrying him in her arms, running full out away from the demon and the opposote direction thye came from......

[OOC: Ouch!]

Held by the neck, George begins stabbing furiously at the demon's arm, attempting to force it to let go.

Jamethon looks at the boy, amazed. He smiles, his eyes gleaming with the fervor a true believer. He stands protectively near the boy, following if he leads. His musket shouldered, he is ready to die a soldier of the Goddess.

The boy is invisible.

Actually both. The silent image is a boy's illusion going away, trying to flee. Inovidil hopes that the demon will follow the illusion and leave them, because earlier he seemed to ignore Jarryd and George, so she believed that he was actually after the boy and they will have the time to go.

IC> Getting notice how easily the demon dodges the magic missiles, Inovidil gasps. Always concentrated she puts her hand to her right pocket and pulls out a scroll. Then turns to Shana and says:

"I guess you are a sorcerer, but I hope you can use scrolls. This is a scroll of grease, may you cast it? I should keep the illusion."

Jarryd tries to snap out of his horror. He knows his companions are in great danger, but his body does not respond.

OCC: will save to try to snap out of his horror...!?

[This doesn't appear to work. The demon seems more focused on destroying just everything around him, he isn't especially interested in the boy right now, as it seems...]

[I rule that Jarryd is free from his paralysis.]

The demon laughs nastily, as he pulls George upwards and then lets him fall down on the ground, like an odd toy.

He steps forward to where Moorkroft is standing, as...

Black, smoking acid springs out of the many wounds in the demon's leg, as the monster stumbles away from Brethana, obviously surprised that this silly woman hasn't surrendered yet...

While the acid burns away Brethana's blade, it is obvious that this has made the demon loose his wit for a moment!

Coughing roughly and pulling himself up off the ground, George notices Brethana's attack and calls out, "Brethana! You hurt him! What was your dagger made of?"
