Artemis finishes his game and begins packing the que away with the others.

"Sounds fine by me old bean. Little bit of the old 'cloak and dagger'. But-" he turns to the others with a more serious expression "Are you willing to finish the job? Attacking him is one thing..."

"But killing him is another. Point taken Artemis." Nostalia finishes "Though may I mention that you have not lived here recently. Before the coup we were just starting to really make changes... now we are worse off. I have no problems with getting my hands dirty. Not for this one."

Kimuriel turns to Nostalia and says:

“I’m really glad that you want to help us, Ms Romaine. Your help will be precious. No one said that will be easier to kill a man like Pieter, as I have said earlier, we know neither his powers nor his weaknesses, but I hope that I can find out something from his tomb. However, I believe that with our plan we have at least some good chances. Of course, if we understand that our plan doesn’t work, we will follow our instinct. Some times it’s much better improvise than follow plans. With Dr Xevim outside the room we can pretty well synchronize our moves. As about things changed, should we know any more details about the whole situation in Borca, Pieter or his followers?”

"and importantly, do we want any of them alive or do we just kill the lot of them? Personally I would prefer to not mindlessly kill a group of people if it is avoidable. A soldier I may be, but I am still human and will not murder in cold blood."

"Of course we won't indulge into mindless slaughter, Heinrich. We have to assassinate Lord Pieter to clean this situation. I don't think that things will change dramatically in Borca afterwards, but it is as much as we can do.
As for you my Lady, I'm sure your gift will be most useful from what I've seen in the Prison." Ixevim said.

Thinking the battle ahead, he sent a telepathic message to his allies. "Artemis, Perhaps you could prepare two or three dispel magic scrolls for me tonight to use tomorrow if I find the guards I'm trying to enthrall under a spell or supernatural power"
I'm drinking the cure disease potion. I tell you just in case it proves to be poisoned."
And Ixevim drank the potion that they have found on the assassin earlier that eventful day.

Though Ixevim had almost become used to the shaking of his body it was an afront to his superiority over humanity that he was such as he was.

Drinking the potion at first did little but after a minute he noticed his body returning to the way it had felt days before they had even come to the house. It felt... good. His strength and mental vitality seemed fully restored and at last his muscles came back under his control. He had not noticed until now how much he had actually been shaking from the disease he had contracted earlier. But now he was cured.

Looking to the others he saw he was being observed and relayed the fact that the potion had indeed worked.

"Well isn't that ...interesting?" Artemis states simply before removing a small leather case from under his coat. Sliding it across the table to the mindflayer he nods "I took the liberty of acquiring a few items for you. You'll find what you need in there."

Looking inside Ixevim counted the scrolls.

Kimuriel doesn't get his eyes off Ixevim while he was drinking the potion and is one of the first who notes his come back.

"I think you should feel much better now, good to know."

Turning to Artemis, Kimuriel asks:

"If I remember well, you have also a way to endure the skin, no? I think it's better if you prepare this spell too Artemis. I can do it myself, but if I use this power to all of you, I'll spare much mind power and I will not be as effective to the battle as I want. May you cast your spell at least to a couple of you?"

A sideways smile creeps out of the left corner of his mouth, tugging at the pale scarthat runs along his left cheek, distorting it and revealing a few of his teeth.

Artemis taps the table gently as if thinking of other things.

"Yes yes good good. Spells I am sure I can do those. A few simple scrolls borrowed maybe a conjureror's trick. But if this is all I think we should retire and prepare for the next day. We must be ready."

Kimuriel nods to Artemis and turns to Heinrich, his green eyes have become darker and his gaze is icy:

“I’m sure that your armor is very well made and has probably protected you many times in the past, but having an inertial barrier on you which makes your skin harder, is a different thing. If you remember well, my power has prevented you to be hit from the bandits’ arrows and from the zombies, so you cannot say that is not useful. Ah, and a psion doesn’t use sorcery, he uses only the power of his mind. He doesn’t need anything else.”

Kimuriel is irritated with Heinrich. He doesn’t like when a human doubts about the results of his powers. However, a bit later he calms himself and continues:

“I think we are ok. I’ll try to locate the tomb today, so I and Heinrich can go early tomorrow morning. Where we’ll meet to discuss any further details?”

Ixevim sent Artemis mental thanks. Then he said.
"Using Sorcery isn't evil Heinrich, it wouldn't put your soul at a risk as some people believe. And certainly it isn't a crime. I was banished from my land for using magic. You know, some Lamordians believe it is insult to science to combine it with magic."
When Ixevim said the words Lamordians and science he sent Heinrich, Artemis and Kimuriel the words mind flayers and psionics.

"I have seen nought but evil born through sorcery in my time, but I am willing to seeyour point of view and believe that some are willing to use it to a greater end than to line their own pockets and create fear in people. If you wish to make my skin hard asstone then you have my permission. If it stops me from being wounded or killed then you also have my thanks."

Heinrich seemed a little nervous about having magic, or whatever this psion stuff is used on him, but he is will to give it a try if it would hep the group and to protect them. If they died he would never see the gold he was promised.

OOC: Though he's been with them for a few days, Heinrich still is the hired help when you think about it

Soon the party dissasembles for the night. Ixevim wonders on his chance of success and Heinrich on if he could trust the group. Kimuriel meanwhile locates Pieter's grave. It seemed small in hsi mind's eye and not very grand. Strangely it seemed to be in the house itself, a resting place for many dead -catacombs. Which suited his purpose well considering the maze of passageways and dangers he knew he would face if he were to venture near the central chambers and outside for a graveyard.

The next day breaks and the group meets for one last time before seperating for their private tasks of information gathering. It was unknown if they would be safe after they truly began. Saying encouraging words they agree to meet back in several hours to confer and then start their mission.

Kimuriel and Heinrich find the grave easily enough. The detective starts immediately searching around. After a while he finds a small tomb, it was the one he has already seen the night before. Kimuriel touches it and closes his eyes. A traslucent matter covers the tomb and the psion starts reading the psychic impressions.

When Kimuriel opens his eyes his face is very serious and he seems preoccupied. At Heinrich’s enigmatical look, the half-elf responds:

“This was once Pieter’s tomb, but now his body is missing. Actually, I think it’s missing more that 80 years ago. The body is stolen by a magic user of some sort.”

Getting another look to the small tomb, Kimuriel continues:

“I don’t like it. We have to go back and talk to the others; maybe Artemis or Dr Xevim can tell us something more. We should have our eyes open and pay much more attention, a powerful magic user and an undead as enemies are different than a simple powerful human, so maybe we should change something to our plan.”

"If you can keep this magic user distracted, his head will depart his shoulders just as easy as another. And an undead creature does not daunt me as much it would other Falkovnians. It will be put back in the ground all the same."

Heinrich stops and looks about the area, certain he had heard something beyond their small group.

"Are you certain that the Pieter about today is the same one taken from this grave and not a double of him?"
