Café de Nuit

"No problems, it shall be done. Brethana and Kel will come with me and we'll hook up tomorrow. See you then. We are at the Inn if anything, ok guys?" Thalar says in elven then they leave.

"I can cook as well as I eat, and that says a lot. I do not mind staying and helping our Mrs Lilly and Peter here, and they like having us here to help out since Robert is gone. Inovidil you can help me cook with Mrs Lilly" Elvira says "Maybe Renad can tell us what kind of person this guard is and his intentions towards us" She says in elven

Ooc: maybe detect evil or something like that?

When the guard leaves, Elvira follows him secretly. He does go back to Carlos' place and snoops around, as well finding nothing. He goes back to the barracks to report to his captain that there was nothing to be found and that adventurer's were in town looking into the matter as well. Elvira goes back to the house reporting to Inovidil and Renad



Thalar and the 2 others follow the tracks out of town and they veer off into the forest. it is late afternoon now so they hurry. They arrive in a clearing and a path leads up the mountain side to a cave. There they see 2 people standing guard looking around.

"I think this is the place, guys. So 2 guards outside. I don't want to stay here too long in case we alert them to our presence. It's wise to retreat and come back tomorrow with the others" Thalar smiles at them then they head bcak to town.

"Yes lets go back" Says Kel.

"Sure Elvira I'll help you." Says Inovidil.

Philip makes a few questions and then says:

"I'll go search Carlos' house, you stay here it might be risky."

As the guard leaves Inovidil says:

"Elvira, I'll make you invisible so you can follow him."

With that the evoker turns the halfling invisible.

"Pay attention Elvira."

For the rest of the evening, Thalar, Kel and Brethana rest by the fire at the Roaring Boar and talk a little about strategy for the next day. They retire early for the evening.

Nothing happens at the house as well so our party has a quiet evening before the morning!!!!

Inovidil wakes up very early this morning. The evoker is nervous and concerned about the encounter with the vampire.

"I'm worried Renad, very much. I have never encountered a vampire before and I have problem even at what spells I should prepare! My father has destroyed many of them, but he is always cautious when he is hunting them."

"I know Ino, lord Kaving is a very powerful evoker. I had the honor to be at his party sometimes and I assure you that if you have gotten from him, the vampire should be afraid of us! You are very intelligent and have been more matured now that you have returned from Ravenloft. I believe in you Inovidil, you will do what we have said yesterday, with your spells you will tru to disable thepoor dominated people that I bet we will found there. I'll recall Pelor's power to destroy the undead, but even if I fail, Kel, Brethana and Thalar will manage to destroy it. Don't worry. Pelor is with us." Says Renad and poses a reasurant hand at Inovidil's shoulder.

"I hope Mystra will be by my side too Renad. Thank you, I'm going to prepare my spells now. Tell me when the others arrive." Says Invidil smiling at the cleric.

At the inn, Kel looks nervous too.

"Are you ready Thalar, I don't want let the others wait. We will do as we have said. The 3 of us will shoot the two guards with our bows. You will get one target while me and Brethana the other one. We will not let them inderstand that we are there. Then, Elvira will go in scouting and then we will attack all together."

Ooc Inovidil will cast invisibilty on Elvira again.

"Good plan like last time, Kel. Ok Brethana listen to me. The city people that we will fight there will be people from here under the Vampire's spell.Do not, I repeat, do not kill them. Knock them out. After it is all said and done, if they are still under its spell, we can always tie them up and carry them back to town. They can stay in jail if we cannot remove their "charm"."

"Ok Thalar, I'll try not to harm anyone then. I hope my blade can harm the Vampire as I'm not sure if it is mystical enough to do the trick. It may just pass through it not touching it at all"Brethana says as she frowns.

Elvira only eats one breakfast "Oh the things I do for you guys!Only one breakfast. You owe me! SO yes I'll spy as I did last time and from there we can proceed, guys. Let's go!!!"



They leave the Inn and get out of town. They follow the same way Thalar went before. WHen they get close enough without being seen, Thalar and Kel get out the bows and silently get into position. Looking back, Thalar nods once then looks at Kel and nods as well. Their arrows hit the mark and the guards fall lifeless to the ground.
"Ok Elvira, do your thing" Thalar says.

Inovidil casts a spell on Elvira makinf her disappear. She hurries off as the others approach slowly to remove the dead guards, then they wait.

Elvira enters a short passageway then stops as it veers right. Peeking ariound the corner she sees quite a few forms sleeping. They seem all human and some are stirring. She hurries to the back of the room and sees through an entrance more forms but not as many. One is rather large like an Ogre and she shivers as she spies the coffin. Next to it is the chest so she smiles a little. She heads back to the guys and tells them what she saw.

They enter the cave and with Thalar leading they get to the "cave". Inside every form is up now half asleep yawning and rubbing their eyes.

"Ok, guys, come here. I'll cast some spells on you." Says Renad.

The cleric gets Brethana's blade at his hands and prays.

"Your blade can now hit the vampire Brethana."

Then Renad touches everyone's chest. Then chants a few more times touching Kel's and Brethana's arms. Finally touches his own chest and prays two more times.

"Now all of you are blessed, I have also increased Kel's and Brethana's strength and I have asked Pelor to protect us against evil."

The same time have appeared 3 Inovidil's images. The witch chants and a blue lighht covers her.

Both Kel and Inovidil have activatd their magic shield brasers.

"Now we are ready to go" Says Inovidil.

OOC> Renad has casted bless, magic weaopn, divine favor, bull strength to Kel and Brethana.

Inovidil has casted mage armor and mirrir image and has activated the bracers the shield bracers.

Thalar gets to the entrance and they all look at each other then go in! The humans are taken completely by surprise as the party rushes in. Kel, Thalar and Brethana use the flat of their swords to knock down opponents. Amidst teh scuffling and fighting, orcs and the Ogre emerge from the other room, armed and ready to attack. ONly one human remains and Elvira knock him unconcious. Thalar turns his attention to an orc. Baiting it and faking, the orc falls foir it , and Thalar slices his throat, but another orc cuts him across the leg, making his stumble. He does recover his footing but now his leg is bleeding.

Brethana sees the Ogre and grins wildly as she gets her mind set and yells loudly as she rushes it. She gets under the swing of its club and slits the back of its knee, making it stumble.

Elvira aims both her daggers and throws them at the Ogre. One misses and the other gets stuck in its eye. The ogre forgets everything as it thrashes on the floor, his life force seeping from his knee and eye.

One of the orcs rushes to the back room and strarts knocking the coffin. Despite Inovidil doesn't understand what the orc is saying she yells.

"Hurry up guys, the vampire will be here in a few seconds."

Then she aims an orc and two magic darts get from her fingers. But 3 orcs appear from a side passage and slahes her with his sword. Fortunately two of them get only images, but the third gets the witch at her arm. Blood comes out from the wound.

Renad sees it and immediately it heard a loud sound. A lance appear and pierces the orcs chest.

Kel tries to pass through 3 orcs and gets closer to the next room, where the orc is waking the vampire. An orc tries to hit the fighter but the briest and the magic bracers protect him. The other two orcs try grapple Kel and try to put him down.

At the same time another loud noise as something heavy is dropped to the floor. A vampire appears holding a great sword and wearing a breast plate armor . It looks first Renad, and grins, but then turns his gaze to Kel.

Brethana sees Inovidil get wounded after the Ogre falls and snarls. Then she spots the Vampire "You die now, monster from hell!!!" She yells as she seems to grow before everyones eyes and charges the Vampire, knocking orcs over in her path, her mind set on the Vampire. She jumps over an unconcious form and alnds right in frlont of the Vampire as it goes to slash at Kel. Brethana slices it hard in the chest, trying to gut the undead creature. Black ooze seeps out as the creature looks stunned at Brethana.


Thalar downs another orc but his another slashes his back, making him fall to the floor, badly hurt. Elvira throws her 2 daggers at the orc and hits the mark twice,the orc dead. One orc tried to gut Elvira but she dodges it and rolls away, getting tangled in a blanket

Kel with great effort manages to get the two orcs off him and slashes the vampire. His sword gets one rc killing him instantly and with the back swing get the undead's chest. The vampire gets his great sword with both hands and aims at Kel's neck. The figher barely manages to jump back, and the great sword gets only air.

The two orc attack the fighter from behind and one of them manage to overpass his arms and hit him at the back.

Inovidil sees her brother having troubles with the orcs and the vampire but she can do nothing about it since she has an orc before her. The evokes gets a big breath nad goes back knowing that the orc will hit her, but this was the only way to cast a spell later. The orc slashes the witch with his long sword but Inovidil's armor protects her one more time.

"Now it's my turn filthy monster!" Says the evoker and distends her hands. Fire comes out and burns the orc.

At the same time Renad gets his holly symbol and yells.

"Go back to hell you belong undead."

A light appear but the vampire doesn't move.

"I failed." Says Renad and getting his morning star goes toward the orcs behind Kel. The cleric aims at the orc's head and smashing it with the morning star.

Brethana swings at the Vampire as well, but stumbles and falls behind the Vampire, making the Vampire fall over backwards over Brethana's back as she is on all 4's.

Thalar fakes another Orc and silences it for good as it's head flies off and bumps into another orc, making it scream. Elvira sees this and stabs the orc twice in the stomach. It collapses to the ground lifeblood exitting his body.

Brethana gets up as the vampire does, hissing at each other, snarling. The Vampire knows Kel is there but is commited to its action as it swings it sword at Brethana cutting her deeply in her chest. Brethana staggers back then swings her sword and her sword penetrates the armor slicing it good again!!!! The Vampire stumbles and as it does, Kel takes a swing of his Great Sword and lops its head off; it rolls slowly. Then Renad takes a stake and stakes it through the heart. The body falls lifeless to the floor. The orcs and the Ogre are dead, the humans unconcious.

The party ties and binds the humans tightly and get their breath a moment.

"We were lucky. Great job guys!" Sasy Inovidil as looks around the dead corpses.

"The vampire are always difficult to destroy. What do you think about my spell Brethana? Didn't you feel stronger?" Says Renad as starts healing all of them.

" I sure do think it is good but this hurts" touching her chest wound and sitting down hard, blinking. " I need to rest a little you guys look around"she says

Thalar looks around and then they have a look at the chest, which Elvira opens the chest with no difficulty. Inside is gold! Looking it over quidkly, Elvira says "Oh round 400-500 gold here,guys" she giggles.

Thalar looks around making sure the humans are secured, spying the breast plate and the great sword. "Well guys we'll need a caravan or something ot get all these people safely to the city in one trip.. Let Renad go back and get help he is a Priest so they'll trust him".

Elvira pockets her share and sits down, resting after the adrenaline of the combat.

"That's a nice great sword and breast plate there Kel, thinkit would fit ya. What about the sword? Brethana it looks nicer n your great sword, give it a try."

Brethana nods but doesnt get up, smiling.

Renad leaves for the caravan and help.

Inovidil concentrates for a moment and the says

"Yes they are both magic." Says Inovidil.

After nearly an hour Renad comes back.

"Here I'm guys, I have brought 2 wagons with two horses each, I think we can carry these 6 people there and then go back. Are you ready?"

"Yes we are ready. Renad maybe you could help Brethana over there, she looks in a bad way. After her rage she tires easily and is very weak already." Thalar then picks up a man and carries him out to the caravan. Kel does too, then after a few minutes the caravans are full. "Kel you can have the breast plate if you like, NOrzak can fix it I'm sure" THalar says


"Hey guys, I found nice chain shirt here!!!" Elvira exclaims. She shows it to Inovidil who says it is not magical. "Lets get out of here and get back to town guys. I'm hungry!!!"

Renad lays his hands on Brethana and her wound closes, making her feel better but she is sill weak. "Thanks Renad I owe you one, friend". SHe stands up and thjey head back to the town with the charmed folk and the caravans.
