If you plan to gamble for a while, any maybe draw in some of the boatmen when they are not so busy, I can do a quickie oll to see if you made any money. Interested?

Sure that is fine . Also My character is trying to discourage the newly married man that betting money you can ill afford to lose is the only way you ever gamble safely . If he loses alot though Alain will slip some money to his Wife so they don't lose all there grub stake on betting . Saying to her to keep money safe until they need it so her husband does use it to bet any more .

I sped it up a bit. Let's assume you were playing for a while, more guyus joined, bets were placed, yadda yadda.

I rolled for you and the others, once each. Guess who did well- Alain and Pierre.

You gained 12 silver and 11 copper.

Edit- the young guy heeds your advice, which is probably why he doesn't lose his shirt. That, and a bit of good luck. He made out okay- a few coppers ahead, and no harm done.

Alain pockets the extra coin and will use some of it to buy drinks for the crew in the next town that they stop in if they do so as sign good will . He will also slip slip a silver piece to the Wife as surprise wedding gift and note to go with it :) .

Kewl. You haven't stopped in a town yet, but no doubt you will soon, perhaps in the morning.

I'm assuming that we skip forward to late afternoon/evening. Alain may take a nap, count his money, drink water, check on his horses, maybe pick up some rumors- as you please.

The good news is that you spot no leaks, nothing wrong with the boat.

The bad news...check the OOC.

Oh, and gimme an initiative roll.

Yay I kind figured considering rolling only a 8 on the spot check . Well here is Init:

19 Init Hope that is good enough to go before Jaws . Is the Monster within 40 Foot range of Alain to use an Orb Against it .

You beat it in init. You can get off a spell before it dives and swallows/drowns/crushes Blanche. It's within range ATM.

To hit Touch AC to be specific the Snout to hopefully encourage the creature that attacking Blanche is not a good Idea and maybe persuade it to let go of her .
Awesome Nat . 20

Medium? LOL, it's a helluva lot bigger than that. It's big enough to swallow a horse, maybe even a horse with a dude still on the back. HUGE FISH
